  1. Apparently I've heard it was semi organised and there was always a risk but a cowards punch is a cowards punch regardless
  2. Anybody know anything about the assault that happened after the game resulted in two city supporters injured and one severely caused by a cowards punch. I assume it was a bunch of victory supporters but it's now made mainstream news. Hope he gets better soon
  3. I agree with you entirely here and as you pointed out there will be a few who will love him for what he said to Besart. I don't agree with it but in my honest opinion people will view him as a cult hero for it. But to be honest I suspect players on the pitch say alot worse just like sledging in cricket but this time he was caught out. I reckon besart won't be front and centre calling for suspension he seems the type who will say it's nothing personal it just what happens. Again not saying what he said was right because it wasn't
  4. As much as I can pick at his faults I just can't dislike him. He honestly bleeds for the shirt and I think his passion is up there with the best on the pitch. Unfortunately he had a brain fade and said what he said and will get a justifiable sanction but he will go down as a cult hero for it
  5. Could of had two more pints at the pub why did we leave so early?
  6. Slow the fuck down it's not a 100 metre sprint at the Olympics
  7. And so have I, but from the presser and the question asked by the journalists to me indicates that the playing group always felt unlucky to cop the goals we do but now it's a realisation that it's not luck it's a counter attack and we know that whatever team we play will set up that way and something proactive has finally be done. Ofcourse as you say and a part of me thinks shit all's gonna happen and we are still gonna cop goals on the counter but I feel optimistic about what happened at this weeks training. Or maybe I've completely lost the plot. Who knows until we find out this weekend
  8. Was promising to hear from Franjic in the presser that he said the club worked on rectifying the issue with counter attack goals that we keep coping. When pressed for more information by the journalist he almost gave out what work had been done, but stopped short cause he said he was saying too much but sounded to me like the strategy and positioning of the defence will change for this game.
  9. Good simple chant and would sound great if we got it to work, easy to catch onto, Capo please give it a crack on Derby day. Or use the Brisbane game as a chance to try out some new chants
  10. Was looking for a full chant list of the ones we use on a regular basis and I can't recall any of these chants being used this year is there any reason why?
  11. Just thinking about yesterday's events in the CBD will melburnians be making a banner honouring the victims of yesterday's tragedy, assuming very few numbers are travelling to the Newcastle game. Think it would be a nice touch as the tragedy seems to have gripped much of the city
  12. I put purely down to the fact is that we are now the benchmark team. Regardless of positioning on the league we are supposed to be the best team in the league. The squad we put together and the money invested into the the team and the training facilities is above and beyond what other teams spend. We are the team that's supposed to be the giant and as such whenever someone plays us they are the david trying to beat the Goliath. I don't think its as much to do with playing styles it's just the other teams and this instance have more motivation. Hence why the keepers are playing absolute blinders against us
  13. Because he hit the second penalty with near perfection and the third one was also a pretty good hit, it's all down to confidene and I think Cahill trying to take it from him would have provided some self doubt
  14. Watched the game at home cause I couldn't make it down due to work. What I will say is that overall we played the game incredibly well. We were so dominant to the fact that we shouldn't have needed the penalities to win us the game in fact they should of only been boosters to the rout the game should have been. All 3 of their goals were routine saves, with the 1st and 3rd inexcusable goal keeping. We were dominant in the midfield until after we score which is worrying cause we seem to lose all composure as soon as we score which is a shame because apart from those moments of error they were truly outstanding and the statistics prove exactly how dominant they were. I thought Bruno never looked confident when it came to the penalities but I also think it's disgraceful for Cahill to try and take the 3rd one away from him, Bruno was the designated penalty kicker for the game not Cahill and unless Bruno said he didn't want it or went down injured Timmy should have been nowhere near that ball. All in all a truly typical heart performance, you can change our name, badge and colours but this club will always be heart.
  15. Probably got the idea from our famous boyz But I believe it was Inter City Firm a bunch from West Ham.
  16. Hate to bump my own stuff but I genuinely think this a good simple and non complicated chant, easy to learn for everyone in the terrace and its an extra chant to use.
  17. I've noticed his game time in the Dutch league hasn't exactly been brilliant but as watching from the games he plays I do rate his vision and technique very highly. Also interesting to note that he's been dropped from the senior squad for his Dutch team and is currently playing his trade in the reserve league where he has been putting in quite a few good shifts, I'd expect him to be back in the senior squad soon if he reaches the heights he did in the Adelaide squad.
  18. Whilst I agree that mauk rarely played for us the string of games he did put together last season and then those when in Adelaide really stood out for me. As you can see when he finished the season he was rated as one of the best midfielder in the league and also won a contract overseas.
  19. First of all thoughts on the game as above posts have mentioned the first half we produced some really good football created plenty of chances and were unfortunate only to up by a loan goal. I also noticed for the first time this season the use of triangle passes mostly with our wingers which allowed us to carry out some fluid, forward moving football. Second half as we know we faded out again which is a typical jvs heart/city performance. Disappointingly for me it was my second game back in the terrace after being away for almost a year and it's a shame to see it gone in a backwards direction hopefully this is only temporary after what I had heard was a strong performance during the derby and first home game of the season the following games have been below par. Agree with above statements that we focus too much time on anti victory chants when we aren't even playing them and we still overuse the same chants too often. Hopefully we can work this out soon especially for the final.
  20. I did notice though that they didn't play wonderwall before Adelaide's game. So the remembrance reason makes sense.
  21. So was there any reason why so happy together didn't get played at the start of the match?
  22. Probably going to make the trip up to this one, what are the numbers looking like @Dr.Dreas
  23. This is the concern I shared but sounds like the leadership have all of it sorted so I trust that all situations have been thought of cause the likelihood of the tard "ultra hoolz" causing trouble is likely
  24. Only the very best quality, we actually source ours from the same suppliers that the North Terrace use
