Gomulka is still so young, definitely has good potential. He's not flashy and a little error prone which is probably why he gets roasted on here. I thought he was our best in the first half against the Nix and thought he attacked the ball and challenged disputed balls really well, not to mention his aforementioned crosses. He's not Metcalfe but he's on an upwards trajectory.

We barely got out of 3rd gear this season and still finished top of the pile in a far improved league from last season. Berenguer's startling improvement was unbelievable and I expect him to poll well in the player of the season honours. Maclaren is well on his way to being that club legend he desires to be (if he isn't already). Confirmed departures mean we'll get new signings to refresh and bolster an already terrific squad. I know their fans largely want Corica out as they feel as though his success at the club only came about because of Arnold's impact before him (whose club does that remind you of). If they can keep Narsingh, they can build a team around him honestly. They've still got really good players (Brattan was a huge out for them this season) and despite his below-average season, Grant is still one of, if not the best RB in the league. If they recruit well, I have no doubt given the nature of the league that they will be right back in contention next season. Too strong a club not to.
