A bit inconsistent sometimes and while he's a great player and a fantastic clubman, I reckon it's pretty hard to lead your team playing off the wing. Skipper should be Gerhardt or Wielaert.

I actually agree. When Redders had time to see a shot particually from outside the box he made some spectacular saves. But when Redmayne was forced to make a reflex save he often struggled. Also let's be honest he never even came close to saving a penalty. Often going to early. Redmayne made more saves then Bolton did in roughly the same amount of games. I reckon Bolton was a better shot stopper but his positioning was crazy sometimes.

Another prime example of why young Aussie players shouldn't go chasing the $$$ in the Middle East. But I agree with heart_fan10, he'd be great in our defence with Wielaert and Gerhardt going into a CDM role. Spiranovic would still be a walk-up starter for any A-League club I would have thought, maybe other than WSW.

We'll get more than 5k due to the Kewell factor but I agree, Karagounis is a huge coup for not only the Victards but for the entire A-League. Thinking we need Holt or another EPL striker/attacking midfielder as a marquee if we're going to be competitive off the field this season. * and by off the field, I mean crowd sizes.

I work at Bunnings and I approve your Ozito-Ward comparison A central attacking midfielder is an area where we are lacking but we already have Kalmar who is better and has plenty of room to improve, unlike Ward who has been tried at mulitple A-League clubs and hasn't had the greatest success at any. Would be better off promoting guys like Retre, Kaya and Groenewald or actually spending the $$$.

Coming from a coaching background I enjoy the training just as much if not more than the match itself haha and it's not far from where I work. A note about the training ground at trinity, I walked around on the pitch a bit and found it to be in very good condition for the rain we had. This is by far the most important aspect of a training facility. Firm but still had a nice soft feel underneath. Obviously doesn't have all the other aspects a proper training facility would have, but I liked the fact it is hidden away from the anyone besides the high school from seeing it. It was actually a nice place to train I thought. Hidden away from everyone except Marcellin boys Speaking of Marcellin boys, what would it take to get Bresciano? The perfect marquee for us - still quality, hometown boy, popular and credible. I know this gets brought up every now and then. And I know he's contracted. But if we're loosening the purse strings, shouldn't we now be making a serious play for Bresc? He'd be great for us, was solid for the Socceroos tonight.

Forgot about Culina, I reckon he'd be pretty handy in the centre of midfield! At the same time though we've got to be wary about a clash of egos, having Culina, Kewell, Garcia and our marquee all in the same squad could either turn out brilliant or end in disaster if they aren't man-managed correctly.

So would this guy be a non-visa foreigner or just on the books as a regular player? Can see some value in getting him down here for a season or two.

Kisnorbo fits that decent Australian CB role although if we do end up signing Jarosik, I'm sure Vrankovic is sufficient cover. Did some good things when given the chance last season in my opinion
