First Fornaroli, now Maclaren...
We always hear that no player is bigger than the club, yet I'd argue both players are bigger than Joyce and Vidmar.
Hard to maintain interest at the moment with all of the club's current instability.

holy fuck, how is this possible??
I haven't been able to watch - what the fuck is happening???

Our defensive structure is absolutely retarded

We've still got the best attacking third in the league, at least on paper. Hopefully with Leckie returning plus the addition of Tilio, we'll start firing again.

LOVE TO SEE IT

Reeks of Aurelio

Jeggo is a great signing and a like-for-like replacement for Sakhi.
Hrustic is probably a little too similar to Arslan in that he's not really a 2-way midfielder, and given our defensive lapses this season I'd rather Jeggo anyway

By my count, 8 current/ex City players featured for the national team last night:
- Atkinson
- Behich
- McGree
- Bos
- Metcalfe
- O'Neill
- Tilio
- Fornaroli
Pretty crazy, especially when you consider Maclaren and Leckie aren't in the squad either.

Lopane the club's biggest passenger this season, don't know how he starts consistently given how little he provides.

sweet jesus that was the most legitimate goal that just shouldn't have been disallowed
I've watched the replay a dozen times now and the contact from Maclaren is negligible by regular standard, let alone in a derby with the precedent of Faghani's leniency all god damn game

another gross game
Mariners fully deserve the 3 points for this second half

Aurelio shitshow in game management here

43 bucks for a ticket is a joke. I think the club is trying to cash in on the strong contingent of away fans each ACL team has brought over. What makes it worse, is that the only Melbourne City supporters who would be buying tickets for this are ones without memberships, so when you get a chance to potentially re-engage them with the club, theres every chance they (fairly) sod it off due to the cost.
Do better City.I still haven't attended a City game since the bucket-derby fiasco and held off on the membership, so I guess I'm in this precise boat as I was planning on attending this lol.
But not for $43 I ain't

It's a crazy group, that's for sure - the fact any of the four teams can finish top on the final matchday is testament to that. Princes Park is certainly going to be interesting but I'm low-key hyped for it, should be a really unique atmosphere and it'll be huge if we get up!!
We looked excellent in possession for large periods of last night's game, it's just when we get broken on the counter that we look susceptible. Is it our pressing game falling apart further up the pitch or are our defenders/GK just severely out of form? Idk. One thing's clear though, we have the talent to get out of the group.

Young's lack of positional recovery was ordinary too to be fair

I'm low-key excited about Vidmar, and it's a great move to swing the axe so early into the season

Turned it off after the third, can't believe we conceded another 3 lol.
Horrendous game style and way too much player turnover to account for I think.

Club totally got what it fucking deserved.

I'm staggered they haven't made a decision on this yet.
Well, not really staggered as it's true to APL form but this should have been sorted within 24 hours of the abandoned fixture.

At this point, it looks like the bus pretty much drives itself.
We've looked great and tbh I don't see the need to bring in someone who will inevitably have his own ideas and may well disrupt our terrific form. Happy to have Rado until the end of the season.
