  1.

I think the funniest thing is white people telling a brown man what is and isn't racist. That's like asking Bill Cosby what he thinks of rape.

Suck it up though, minorities, don't rock the boat. Don't make white people feel uncomfortable.

So if anyone of non Caucasian decent boos any AFL umpire that could be portrayed as racism?

    Absolutely ludicrous!

  2. So been trying to find a way of basically finding odds that are going to shorten so I'm ending up getting over the odds, because if I can get over the odds significantly enough (has to be a fair bit over given how high the margin is on horse racing) then I'm going to profit on average without even trying to pick a winner.

I've come up with a few different systems, they mostly seem ok but not good enough, but this one I tried today looks promising.

Bet on the first 4 races at Dubbo today, won all 4 but that's probably just luck, the important thing is the odds I got.

    Race 1 = SP = 1.50, Top Tote = 1.70, Tesla Odds = $3.01. Tesla odds = Top Tote + 187%

    Race 2 - SP = 3.60, Top Tote = 4.00, Tesla Odds = 4.8. Tesla odds = Top Tote + 27%

    Race 3 - SP =3.20, Top Tote = 3.70, Tesla odds = 4.40. Tesla odds = Top Tote + 26%

    Race 4 - SP = 3.50, Top Tote = 3.50, Tesla odds = 5.72. Tesla Odds = top tote + 89%

I also bet on 2 races at Pakenham, lost both of those but one did  end up shorter like the above but the other actually went the other way, which is going to happen can't have a 100% accurate system.

Will see if this continues, maybe give it a go again in a couple of days.

Going to end up getting banned for this as getting in on higher odds before they shorten consistently is the quickest way of getting banned from what i've heard, and it makes sense. Not doing this on any of the sites with good promos so I dont care if I get banned anyway.

im presuming your not given anything away about your system? Who are you betting with? With precise odds like $3.01 and $5.72 im presuming betfair?

  3. I am heading to Berlin, Rome and Barca for three weeks starting in late August...

Is there anything off the beaten track that PPL highly recommend to do in Barca and in particular Berlin?

In Barca head up to the site of the 92 Olympics where the dive pool is open to the public. (Google images if you can't remember it.) One of best views of Barcelona only about 6 euro by memory. Also worth jumping on a train and heading an hour up the coast to places like Blanes, Lloret and Tossa Del Mar. Much nicer beaches food and drinks and a cool place to party if that's what your after.

  4. Damien Duff signs 18-month deal with Shamrock Rovers

    Jul 14, 2015

Damien Duff has made good on his promise to himself to finish his career in Ireland after completing an 18-month deal to play for Shamrock Rovers.

The 36-year-old former Republic of Ireland winger will join up with Pat Fenlon’s side immediately after returning home following an injury-shortened spell at Melbourne City in Australia.

The Ballyboden man made 100 international appearances between 1998 and 2012, scoring eight goals, and made over 400 Premier League appearances for Blackburn,Chelsea, Newcastle and Fulham.

“I am very excited to have signed for the club. It’s great to have it all finalised and now I’m just really looking forward to getting back on the pitch,” said Duff.

“I am still out with a bit of an injury, but I should be ready to get back training fully before the end of the month. After that I will be very keen to get back playing regularly.

“I have always said that I wanted to come back and play in Ireland and I am very grateful to Pat and the club for giving me the chance to do that. Not only do I get the chance to come back and play, but I get to do it at the biggest club in the country.

“I am as excited about this move as I have been about any in my career, be that Newcastle, Chelsea or any other. I left Ireland 20 years ago to go and make a career as a footballer and so now it’s great to be back. And I am definitely not just here to see out my time as a player; I intend to make a positive contribution to Shamrock Rovers and to the league.”

  5. My brother went on one with a former CCM player (Clearly a two year squaddie) who apparently spent a complete 2 hours at the back of a bus on a European Freeway displaying his nuts to any cars who had the bad fortune to be travelling behind them at the time.

Would the the perfect story if the kent got locked up and deported for it.

  6. Did in 2010. The hostels were probably the best acommodation you get. Pretty decent.

Shame about the Contiki tour though. Have regretted choosing it over travelling around off my own bat ever since. Would encourage anyone considering one to just organise your own travel. Is obviously more expensive but 100× more enjoyable. And on top of that, you don't waste literally half your time sitting on a bus travelling to your next destination.

Contiki tours are what they are. If u dont have the time, patience and knowledge to book this yourself then Contiki is a fine option. Really only gives you a splash of each place but better then nothing. As mentioned, i would avoid tours where locations are spread out. Also, avoiding one night stays are important.

I certainly wouldn't want to be going to Europe to do a tour then heading home as soon as it ends.

  7. Great to almost have a complete squad already together now. 3 months now to train together and for the cohesion of the squad to develop. This is the complete opposite to last season.

Every chance to hit the ground running come round 1.

  8. Any Irishman is a positive if you ask me. Northern Ireland have a very sterdy defence which has been a key to their success in the qualifiers so far.

Obviously not a huge signing but i fully expect him to be in our best XI
