  1. Pretty good signing actually. So weird to be bolstering the squad at this stage, a league transfers are a bloody merry go round. You los players just as quiickly. You gain them, feels kinda gay if im honest, where is the stability? But anyways, This signing perhaps allows gerhardt to play in preferred position? Whether that still is centre back i dont know, but we could be thought of as a shot at the title this season if we get this right. Colosimo improved his form largely in the last couple games, wtf was wrong with him at the start, he wasnt sunday league material.
  2. Ah, i thought it'd be something along those lines. I mite grab some this weekend, if i don't do the usual and try scramble tickets in the last few hours..i'll post it if it ain't too late.
  3. When you do put the PAX here The pax? what the hell is that?
  4. So for the sydney game will level 2 be opened? Or the same as all other games just ga, premium b and a?
  5. Gonna try make it down for this one, really important to get a win. The Sydney home game could be a all or nothing game, which would pull in a nice figure crowd wise given Del Piero plays.
  6. People need to understand, in Australia, football is the most vaulnerable sport in the country, it would be the first sport to be discredited and discouraged. A-league is still bloody young, it's never too late to turn it around and turn into a shit storm, especially for our club, who's in the minority in our state and needing to attract new fans to sustain its growth and future. Your kidding yourself if your contempt with 5-8k crowds. You want more supporters? Particularly from other codes? Then this is the sort of shit that will ultimately lead to your demise. What makes it more sad is the fact that, it's only the club and this derby is only 3yrs old, this derby isn't quiet there yet to warrant such acts, don't confuse the Melbourne derby with a European derby between two teams with ~100yrs of history. Let's get real, grow the club and it's fanbase, and football in this country still has some way to go, it really could join the ranks of AFL and NRL, perhaps even top them in the future. But, attracting those crowds with such behaviour will not work i'm afraid.
  7. Yeah i think we can, what we cant afford, is lacklustre football, not being regularly in the finals, and pushing as close to semi's as possible and we can't afford stupid decisions being made behind doors which can jeoperdize the ffuture of the club. Just keep the foundations strong, and build from the ground up, and refer to every aspect of the club when i say that. Personally, perhaps we would benefit from an experienced head replaceing Aloisi for next season, with Aloisi being assistant, if he is willing. Still a few games to go this season, and perhaps a finals series for Aloisi to show what his got, then at seasons end weigh up all options and go through a list of possibilities, whether they include Aloisi or not is the boards decision and Aloisi himself.
  8. If we could break into regular 10k'ish crowd numbers to our home games, and slowly build to say 13ish, i think you'd see the best of our players. It's obvious we play our best games in the derbies, players lift and crowd numbers would have a big say.
  9. The ref was absolutely shite, no way around that. The penalty was so...words cant really describe other than ref getting involved cuz he was too shit to actually play the game.
  10. Nah he dived, shame his friggen first touch was off because he was through on goal there. Typical him, flashes of brilliance and then lack of skill at crucial moments just holds him back from being a gem of a player. This team is capable of a lot more than what its coming up with, shame, but as mentioned brilliant experience for some of our players.
  11. I bought a sandbag recentlybon ebay, 40kg and the excercises look pretty good. Going to throw that bitch around like a rag doll.
  12. Im thinking of getting down there with bro inlaw and sis, to try lure them in, if we get 3 concessions which none of us are entitled too at the cheap 15bux a ticket prices, they dont really check for these big games do they? I know ive done it with mates at previous derbies but it is always a risk i guess. Whatvyou guys reckon?
  13. There is no such thing as 2nd biggest rivalry. We hate victory, everyone else is in the same boat, we just single out victory for obvious reasons. I actually dont mind wsw, theyve done really well in their first season, and if anyone but heart is going to win the title, id rather it be them.
  14. I was hoping to arrange a pre season friendly for my local under 11's, you know any contact details for Melbourne Heart FC?
  15. Our midfield was the weak link, the area of the pitch responsible for setting up play, keeping posession and controlling tempo of the game, were non existant. Kalmar has prooved to me in the last couple of weeks his no good, barely worthy of a bench spot. Too slow, no impetus on his behalf, and too much of a luxury player. Then you have germano and thompson, both fairly similiar in style and doing effectively the same job. Grella will hopefully displace one of them, preferrably thompson and we can start building up from there. Garcia on the win just looks wrong, Williams, who im a fan of, really needs to work on his finishing and taking on his man more than what he does. I dont know whether its from lack of ability or confidence, but should try taking the man on rather than first time balls galore. Tadic had a bad game, but babalj and him might work i feel. All this makes me think a 4-4-2 system would work better with our crop of player.
  16. Not won a game away from melbourne in a year, so basically that makes it no away wins in 1 fuking year. Hw is this even possible for a club? Surely weve broken a record for shittest away team in the world?
  17. It would be more useful if he had a left foot. Regardless we've got a striker worth singing for and he will be crucial in making the finals. It would be good to get garcia to play off him closer, bit too many times his up there isolated, even though he does hold up play well and blends others in well with his footballing brain.
  18. Most convincing win we've had this season and my word is it a strange feeling. Granted adelaide were toothless and appaling, but we played a big part in that. Shame it was a friday night game, i dont fancy rushing after work! Good news aswell, i seem to be slowly weening my mate towards the hear, next season i could be a regular down at aami.
  19. There is a difference between sticking with a coach that's won you the title previously, with stickign with a coach that has f-all experience, looks out of their depth and coaching in a much bigger league..I think fair bit of patience has been shown with Aloisi, and by all means give him till the end of the season, but it's been said before, if he was assistant it would be much more ideal, he still has learning to do.
  20. Here is a hard hitting stat: On two occasions a 2-0 lead was lost, resulting in 5 points being dumped in the bin against Wellington and Newcastle. 5 points is a lot. Oh and the fact we don't have 1 away win, and it's 3/4 through the season.
  21. The club is very much let down down by the coaching staff. The squad list is top 4 material, but with no-one at the helm to make it happen, we will flutter on like we've been doing the whole season, and it will be penciled down as a big failure, and a big 'what if' at the end of the day. We will also probably lose some of the key players which makes it a top 4 team, and hence take 2 steps back for next season. Shame.
  22. For the good of football, thank god we didn't win. That was abysmal, not deserving of even a point and Sydney who wanted it more deservedly got the win, despite being as shit as they are, we managed to outdo em, well done lads. Clapped Sydneys winner, that's how fuking disgraceful that was, i love how the bloke that scored the winner mentioned in his interview after the final whistle 'we showed heart' or something along those lines, funny because Melbourne Heart havent shown heart all season. Like some other poster said, lets hope we don't finish top 6, because it's a joke of a system anyway, 6 out of 10 teams go to finals, what's the bloody point, at the very most top 4 should slug it out, but even that is daft considering none of the top leagues in the world have such an absurd system. This team needs to pack it in and regroup for next year, because even if we make finals we will just be rightfully embarresed and told where to go.
  23. Probably won't bother with this game simply for the fact that it's at Etihad. Abomination of a soccer stadium for christs sake why not just have it at AAMI? Victory fags think they're top shit as per.
