MHFC vs WSW 16/3 aka We're having a party
Heart>Victory replied to spain82's topic in Melbourne City
Please something like this; Redmayne Walker Gerhardt Vrankovic Thompson Garcia Meeuwis Kalmar Mebrathu Tadic Williams That front three could be formidable and seeing the seasons over might as well try something different p.s. Coyne is just the worst -
What about Endo! Ono has been an awesome marquee for WSW and Endo wont be that expensive either ($700,000?) compared to someone like Raul
-
A bit of both perhaps...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Papas
-
Let’s say if his sacked in the next month (unlikely) who could be the possible replacements; Bleiberg Merrick Milicic JVS back on the market (lol) Culina
-
Don’t we already have our foreign spots taking up (because his represented Malta abroad…or is he considered Australian??) Also don’t think we need him seeing we have Grella/Gerhardt/Germano all capable of playing as defensive midfielders...we just need a GK,CB and maybe a new midfielder if Fred cannot be consistently on the park for the remainder of the season.

You want a guy who is 3rd in line at his current club with 2 bad keepers ahead of him? His not the worst keeper going around..its just that ange was going on about wanting a keeper who can play from the back..plus Coe is pretty good...wouldnt mind him

Round 16 - MHFC v Sydney - Sun Jan 13th
Heart>Victory replied to Liberta per gli Marteaux's topic in Melbourne City
Kalmar would have to be the slowest player in the league..if it wasnt for his first touch he would be one of the first out -
Liam Reddy is now a free agent along with maybe Velaphi..and if reading set to be relegated we could use some salary cap to purchase Federici (bit unrealistic)
-
Yeah im not a fan of Redders either...with bolton set to retire we could make a play at Velaphi (next year) at Victory with Coe and Thomas set to stay there. Velaphi number one keeper with a new 18 year old keeper second in charge would be nice

Melbourne Heart v Melbourne Victory 22/12/2012
Heart>Victory replied to Tony999's topic in Melbourne City
tables have turned dramatically since we beat them round 1..they are playing really attractive football with some exciting kids in nabout and rojas..whereas we are playing boring shit with a bunch of 30 year olds..be happy with a draw -
I just find it frustrating that there is almost no difference between the two clubs...its like we exist just for Melbourne Derbys..whereas watching WSW on saturday night showed that they have a massive market and are extremely passionate (and yes i know about the divide of the west and east in sydney compared to here in Melbourne) Its almost like the big bash..why will you follow stars over renegades or the other way?? The colours? A particluar player? it turns into an intra-club match more than anything else..it dosnt help that heart recruited Behich, Dugandzic, Sarkies in their first couple of years.

Hey, All this talk of an identity crisis and the debate of a rebranding/relocation has got me thinking about the current supporter base and their location in Melbourne. If we were to rebrand ourselves as "Monash Heart" or "East Melbourne Heart" would that not alienate all the supporters who live out in the west and vice versa? If we want to differentaite ourselves from Victory (other than the colours) than we have to find out where the current 6,000-7000 base lives...

ok....so can u find anything that proves his not the marquee
-
a league wiki site has Fred as our inter marquee...didnt know its changed now

Melbourne Heart and Melbourne City attendances
Heart>Victory replied to Jimmy's topic in Melbourne City
fuck didnt think it was that bad...why bother to see an average of one goal scored by your team and an 18% chance of winning -
If we are gonna finish bottom two this season then just play the kids and find the next Good, Babalj, Hammil, Goodwin Garrucio (looks very promising) Vrankovic (the same) Z.Walker (If Tadic continues to fail and DMac injured) J.Walker?? Then sell Behich to Turkey and Marrone to the Chamionship at sesons end...
-
So his eye now his hamstring. His falling apart everywhere Hopefully should get a passport and be fit under the cap next season because as an international marquee it’s a bit embarrassing
-
he wont come back to the a-league....either the championship or retire
-
Don’t be surprised if we win. Wanderers are a little bit overrated here ..Bridge, Polenz, Kresinger, Elrich, Beauchamp are very average players...if colosimo can contain Gibbs and we sit back and counter attach with Dugan, Willio, Garcia with Tadic playing as the number 9 we could sneak with a 1-0 or 2-0 result.

Melbourne Heart and Melbourne City attendances
Heart>Victory replied to Jimmy's topic in Melbourne City
Topic has been discussed at length but i think the current model needs more time. If we re-brand to say "South-East Heart", "Monash Heart", "East Melbourne Heart" we could tap in to supporters from Dandenong, Oakleigh, etc but it could just be a knee-jerk reaction after three years of existence. At the end of the day Melbourne sport lovers are not that patriotic about their area as NSW supporters are. AFL fans pretty much pick and choose their club which has got nothing to do where they live (people living in the west choosing to support Hawthorn, St Kilda, etc) which has got to do with the fact that 9 teams share 2 stadiums. AAMI park is a perfect football stadium and its based in Melbourne so in the meantime, "Melbourne Heart" will have to do. The only way to increase crowds will be a) consistent, entertaining football at home and marquee signing for next season (Brech, totti, etc) -
Sunday 28 October - 3:00pm - Melbourne v Mariners
Heart>Victory replied to Heart>Victory's topic in Melbourne City
What sort of crowd do we expect for our second home game? Between 7-8 i think...anything over would be a bonus We really needed to beat Wellington with some attacking football to get some of those vpl fans back for more..anyone know our membership count (4,000??) -
A win, draw and loss to start the season; let’s get some momentum going by beating the Mariners Grella I assume should be fit to play and colosimo should also come back in...so who will make room?? I wouldn’t mind seeing this 4-3-3 Bolton Marrone Colosimo Gerhardt Behich Garcia Grella Fred Dugandzic Macallister Williams Bench: Germano Vrankovic Thompson Redmayne
