Looking unlikely to have fans, ABC news just said. -
Christ on a raft, Leckie has looked good in his two most recent outings for Australia.

I'm not sure how many minutes we planned to give Atkinson initially but he looks gassed already. -

We choose not to play our reserves in the NPL typically. Western United and to a lesser extent Victory tend to play them a lot more. -

Max Caputo on the bench! Would love to see him get some minutes. -

I think we'll see Borges Rodrigues on the bench from here on out as he's a recognised striker - unless they're feeling particularly ambitious and think Max Caputo deserves a spot, but I think he's like, 15. -
Jack Hendry put Scotland 1-0 up against the Netherlands this morning.

Paramount+ $8.99 a month, so not horrible, but christ everything is getting splintered again. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/a-league-seals-landmark-five-year-200m-broadcast-deal-with-network-ten-20210525-p57v3m.html Most interestingly, viacom also brought 2.5% of the League - so they're fairly invested in it succeeding. -
Gormulka for me, looked tidy with the ball and got through a mountain of work.

Georgevski can get in the bin 😁 My only real(ish) concern is that playing Cola and Tilio aren't really forwards. -

Yeah I think we can say that Paddy would be better pulling on the boots in his current state than having Georgevski out there. -

Not really sure why we didn't play Mills or Stokes as centre half. -
Good to see some of our greatest players getting to celebrate a victory - also pictured, Dean Bouzanis.

City v. CCM, Saturday 22nd May, 7.10 p.m., AAMI Park
Tommykins replied to citymad's topic in Melbourne City
I think people that typically make very good man managers usually end up as assistants or youth coaches - think Duncan Ferguson, Joe Jordan, Sam Allardyce, Peter Reid, Neil Lennon. They provide excellent leadership to their team and generally players say they love playing for them, but in reality the football can be very one-dimensional, which can work when it's in vogue, but when they're required to make a change they an often really struggle. -

I think it's probably fairly indicative (for better, or in some cases, much worse) the players that left the club under Joyce's management have often gone on to have falling out's with other managers, too. It's possible to be a decent man manager and create culture while being a woeful tactician. -
Good on him!

Thought Reis was quite good today, it's the lazy tracking by Tilio that leads to the penalty, I think, so Reis for me.
-
Happy to provide funding for the alcohol to make this happen.
-
I'd say Fran Karacic and James Holland would be chances to make the squad, too.

So basically (due to the fact that the middle of the table is so congested), it looks like we'll probably guarantee finals a game or two before we win the league. We'll probably finish ~53 points give or take a bit, if we assume our goal difference as not going to get overtaken, we'll probably wrap it up against the Mariners, or more likely the Roar.
