As Dr Lime said there was a banner displayed that said "We support the 198" or something very similar which was held up in the north end.  That to me does indicate that the message was in part in support of those who had been banned.

This all boils down to, Do the 198 deserve to be named and shamed on the front page of a newspaper?

They may not be innocent, they may have done some wrong and they might deserve their ban, but their privacy should be respected.

I don't mind their banner because I understand where they're coming from, but people could perceive it the wrong way.

I will sceptically believe this when the police publicly verify the existence of such threats and they publish these threats. After all is not like News Ltd are ever truthful about anything.

People who send death threats are criminals. Criminals have no rights to privacy. Publish their photos and the death threats.

  3. Pretty much, Melbourne City has ruined any chance of there being a 3rd Melbourne club in the near future. The lack of supporters make it seem like there isn't demand for a 3rd club in Melbourne.

Any chance of there being a new club in the A-League from Melbourne is if the license is taken away and they start from complete scratch.

    So did I. Phrases like:

    - Too Manchester City

    - Sydney/NSW/Manchester City pale blue, Melbourne is red and white

    - Would like a club with member voting rights, not a franchise

    - Corporate

    - Boring

    These were all mentioned.

If I had more room, I would have started on about team performance.

Too right. This club doesn't have it's own identity anymore. Just mini Manchester City.
