  1. In theory it would be nice but knowing the media they will distort it to make us look bad and as a supporter group one person shouldnt speak for everyone
  2. This is what i have heard from people involved in the club and not sure if it is true but wouldnt be surprised if it is. Apparently the club as $4000 as a game day budget and that is northing compared to other clubs and therefore needs 7000 fans to break even and with some of the performances put in, the club would struggle to reach this. Also there are lots of volunteers the club uses which hopefully can help them save some more money
  3. We CAN win, but we won't win! I've run out of optimism...I can't get excited at away matches anymore. Ever since Perth, Nix, WSW, Nix, etc. I have no confidence whatsoever. The best thing about this game is that Colosimo is out so Vranks is back in. Hopefully JA plays: Redmayne Walker, Vrankovic, Gerhardt, Mitchinson Germano, Fred, Kalmar Garcia, Tadic, Williams Bench: Bolton, Meeuwis, Babalj, Golgol We hope JA plays something like that but from what he has shown this season he wont
  4. 6 is fine for finals, it gives each team incentive to play well to make finals that are challenging for the last two spots currently. Think the club's first incentive is to win an away game
  5. Last night was disappointing but there are still 3 games left and anything can happen in the A-League. Hopefully this is the wake up call that everyone in club needs.
  6. As ive said for a while now, if we do not make finals then JA definitely has to go. If we cant win away then how can we challenge for a title that JA said the team was aiming for at the start of the season, if i remember correctly. After promising so much and not delivering then that is not good enough.
  7. Yeah mate, im about a 10 minute walk from la trobe and can do mondays or fridays. Just PM me some details if possible mate
  8. I know this wont happen but go all out on luring someone like Neymar, publicity would be amazing, sponsorship, membership and revenue would be good, bigger international interest and might make the money back
  9. If we want to win silverware then i personally think the club needs a major change in the football department and that may be tapping some players and staff on the shoulder
  10. Yeah i think it will be Adelaide, will be making the trip over there or anywhere in the first week to support the boys
  11. I know the guy who does the announcing on game day from other places and im happy to mention this to him if david hasnt already and see if he can change it up a bit
  12. Great win by the boys, best game by Kalmar, good to see Eli get back on the score sheet. I was happy to see Willo and Kalmar not afraid to take shots from outside the box. Had a chat with Germano and he said he had a pretty average game. Great work by the Y-Side after the second goal but those idiots right behind me starting their own chants that needs to stop
  13. Dont mind twitter handles on the back. I think the club is promoting this to get good publicity in the media especially after what happened on the weekend and how the media focused on the chairs and ripped into the club not the game. I think we will win 2-1 with GolGol and Germano scoring
  14. Read this online before: Meanwhile Heart yesterday paved the way for a foreign signing by releasing 31-year-old Irish defender Steven Gray, who made just one appearance. Heart is hoping to make a signing prior to the Monday's A-League transfer deadline. Uncontracted players can be signed at any stage and Munn said the club was hopeful of signing someone who would remain for the 2013-14 campaign. "It's ongoing, all of the coaching staff is working through it. Ideally we would not sign someone just for eight weeks but next season too," he said. "It doesn't make any sense to sign a Lucas Neill for eight weeks, especially to fill a hole for an injured player. "It's easier this time of year to find a foreigner than a domestic player so that's why we've freed up a foreign spot. "We signed Steven late when we knew we were going to lose Brendan Hamill and Curtis Good and we needed an experienced defender." Happy it has finally been done and we have a spot open for an international player
  15. I'm disappointed with the result we should have at least gotten a draw from it. Great effort from the boys after we scored that goal and unlucky not to have more find the back of the net. Was Eli just struggling with match fitness and that is why JA took him off for Kalmar, because i would have thought being 2 nil down you would throw caution to the wind and go with back 3 and have another attacker to help Eli. Some of the referee's decisions were questionable but what can you do. I wont go to much into the seats because that has already been covered, but its shocking to see in this day and age that people still act like idiots and maybe try to copy what they see from overseas. If we want the club to continue to grow, have the good reputation it has and as a team that any new supporter wants to follow and support instead of victory, then stop being idiots and giving the club bad publicity because it will turn would be fans away and that is not what we want. Also good work by Ando and the others yesterday trying to coordinate the chants, would have heard the capo clearly but some people showed up and wanted to 'sit' in the seats that were printed on their tickets, so had to move near the back and that was hard to hear. When you have the derby specials trying to start their own chant and do their thing, while others are trying to follow the capo. If you are in the terrace follow the capo, dont start your own chants like that kid near the front, learn the chants, get along to the home games its not that hard. Also annoyed with the victory fans that tried to start me and a mate in the ground and outside during and after the game, but i think to join them you have to have an IQ lower than Rojas' playing number. Sorry about the long post
  16. da da da da da, da da da da da, da da da da da oi oi oi
  17. i've heard she plays or is associated with box hill united, might head down to a few games there then
  18. Wouldnt mind him bringing back Curtis Good while he is over there also
  19. I read somewhere before that JD was keen to sign a player in this transfer window
  20. Yea Yeah just saw the video up on facebook, is sad to see him leave but wish him all the best in turkey Had the pleasure of talking to him during pre-season and he was such a nice and genuine bloke
  21. IMO i think that onfield results speak much louder because if a team does well it increases sponsorship, attendance which in turn means more gate takings and membership, also people buy merchandise if we win and then other clubs from around the world take notice because of our performance. But this year for some reason, im getting the impression that the board isnt worried about on field results and they just want a profit to help themselves
  22. Just like Marrone, hope it isnt some average fee coz if it is then questions need to be asked about the board
  23. You cant kick someone that is on the ground but then the ball boy shouldnt have been on top of the ball trying to waste time. I'm just waiting for a Cantona kick some time soon again now
  24. I'm not complaining, epping is really close for me, so is La Trobe uni. It would be good to watch the club play all year around
