  1. Didnt see walker crying like amini did tho
  2. With only 3 CB options atm, Paddy is moving nowhere.. If we started the season tomorrow Germano and Mass would pair up at DM. @JW - There are still 5 places open... I really dont feel comfortabke having only three options for CB. Really hope another gets signed, with Rob Wierlart being old, and david vrankovic getting called up for youth socceroo squads we could get caught short. Happy for kewell to be used as an attacking mid, yet i feel he could get injured very easily as well. Hopefully Kalmar can step up if it does happen.
  3. It looks like the club will be making four more signings before the begining of the next season. Alistair Bray as backup keeper, which wont take much of the salary cap. Hopefully Richard Garcia signs up, dont mind him being on alot of money. Which leaves the two international spots, wouldnt mind one used on another defender, or attacking midfielder. But definetly need a top quality striker. Will be interesting to say the least
  4. Realistically though....what other quality australian keepers are available? Really hope this happens
  5. http://m.goal.com/s/en-au/news/4072440/ Would be sweet promoting Alistair, wouldnt command much of the salary cap.
  6. Wrong thread, this is the next captain one. Next captain should be either Garcia or Gerhardt. Use as incentive in his contact talks And why is it such a problem to talk about who will be vice captain? Can see redders being good as captain or vice captain. Massimo would also be a good pick as either. Hes a melbourne boy, and in his position will be recieving alot of the ball and dictating a fair amount of the play. Would pick redders over him tho due to him being at the club longer
  7. being nearly a foot shorter, i'd imagine Misfud would offer the services of a player that is a lot better on the ball and a lot more versatile since very rarely do you see 5"5 players used as the target forward (but not guaranteed as a lot of this discussion is pure speculation and many wouldn't have seen Misfud play - being able to compare accurately is like apples and oranges). That being said Misfud captains his country and has amassed over 90 caps - predominantly against European teams and in WC / Euro qualifiers. given the ranking systems and that Malta are usually ranked down the bottom in terms of seedings then Misfud normally would be playing against a better class of opponent (ie Italy, Germany, Bulgaria, Portugal and even Hungary). He has a decent scoring record for his country, thus pointing to the fact he must be alright if he can score against much better opposition than the the team he plays for on a regular basis. Misfud has tasted success in a league that doesn't sit too far behind the Bosnian League in the UEFA coefficients - the same Bosnian league where Gerhardt had done well before joining Heart. Given how many hoops those leagues have to jump through to even make the group stage for either Champions or Europa league then frankly part of their ranking is pure luck of the draw and thus Malta is probably closer to the standard of the Bosnian league than the other way around. The fact Misfud is the national team captain and has a good scoring record then chances are he actually is one of the better players in the Maltese league - thus pointing to the fact he may be similar to Gerhardt in regards to being a quality player for that league. remember too that Berisha had a poor record in Europe before coming over. Macallister's record has nothing on him. the best goal scoring ratio Macallister has had was 1 to every 3 and that was at Wellington. At 5' 5" he's not much shorter than Messi or Maradona Messi < Misfud
  8. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-League_transfers_for_2013%E2%80%9314_season Just from looking at this....makes me happy to see that weve made more signings than anyone else so quickly.
  9. Agreed far too much hate for someone wuo has done so much for football in australia. Hes a big reason why im playing football today and i think that there are thousands of Australians who have had him inspire them to play or have sparked an interest in football
  10. Would love to have josh kennedy playing as an australian marquee
  11. Anyone knowwhere the club is training today?
  12. Totally agree. If you look at when berisha got the goldem boot as well, brisbanes midfield at the time was the strongest in the competition.
  13. would love to have more boys born in melbourne playing for the club
  14. Bresc and Og would just be too good
  15. Responsibility will make hoff a legend
