I thinkthe biggest problem is the transition between defence to midfield. How many times have we seen fred/thompson/germano etc. just pass back because when they recieve the ball our opponents put to much pressure on our midfield and they pass back to defence resulting in the opposition forwards playing a higher line off the ball which pretty much forces us to play those dreaded long balls. Another issue i see is the transition from midfield to the forward line. When our midfield does recieve the ball with space aroud them, they try to take on half the opposing team and by the time they try pass off to a forward the area around the box becomes congested by the opposing midfield retreating, coz lets face it, our midfield duo of thompson and fred going forward is not quick enough for this to work. Ultimately i feel we look most dangerous when the ball is played quickly through the middle and then to the forward line. We dont have the players to be passing the ball all over the park. When you look at the speed on our wings (mainly williams and golgol) our strikers that are good at holding the ball (tadic, eli) should be playing more deeper and laying the ball off to the wings due to our speed.

I think hes shown he has shown loads of quality in the limited playing time hes recieved. If he can be fit next season, he could easily be one of the best players in the league.

Really think golgol should be starting every week when fit.

Brought a family of five from interstate down to watch their first game of soccer, as well as bringing my little brothers to see their first game as well, and everyone commented on how good YS was, and how you wouldnt get something like that at the crocket or AFL. sat on the opposite end and could hear you guys very well. top job boys!! This is the type of thing that will get new supporters wanting to sign on.
