  1. Besides the odd amazing save, its fair to say Tom Glover is a headless chook of a goalkeeper.
  2. That 0-0 last night was the perfect result. If Adelaide beats us tonight they'll get within 6 points of us with 5 games to play. They'll be the only threat left IMO.
  3. Wearing a City jersey isn't quite wearing a River jersey in La Boca but a few years back I copped some abuse at a pub full of Victory garden gnomes. I've always thought Victory have tried to manufacture this hardcore rivalry thinking we'd be molotoving each other out the front of Richmond Station.
  4. Too many games left to bring the maths out but here is my quick summary of the remaining games and match ups of the 6 teams below us: Sydney have 1 less game and their lead up includes 3 games which will snatch points against WSW, Adelaide and Brisbane Meow. Great for us as 1 draw in any of those games will make it almost impossible for them or the others to catch. Adelaide have the same "6 point" fixtures (WSW, Brisbane Woof and Sydney), however they also have us, which makes them more dangerous. CCM have danger games against us, the McCows, Sydney and Brisbane Oink. They're in horrible form, 1 win in their last 9 games and only 2 homes games of 6 left. I don't see them as a threat at all. McCows have the easiest run but have played 1 extra game. Their form sucks, 1 win in 6 games and that was against a state 2 level team (V13tory). They are my dark horse pick in the finals due to their passing game but 9 points behind with 1 less game is no threat to the premiers plate. WSW have danger games against Sydney, Brisbane Raw and Adelaide. They've scored 12 goals in their last 3 games so they seem to be going all out for a top 4 spot. 1 less game and have to travel to Perth and Adelaide. Don't see them winning 4 out of 5, which will be the minimum they'll need to catch up. Brisbane Bears 1 less game and second best in form in the league, they are technically the biggest threat and have a whopping 5 of 7 "6 points" fixtures coming up. They can steam roll our completion and end up nipping at our heals. On top of that, they play us at home. Might come down to the Roger Merrett being in form. Melbourne City Ok, we just need to win against feenicks and Newcastle Jets to win it, those are both easy wins at home. In fact 4 from 6 games are at home. We also have State 4 team V13tory to ice the cake. We'll win the league by 15 points.
  5. Can the Australian Government just relocate Craig Noone up to Darwin and claim we have a missile defence system. Word on the street is China is very concerned with his ability to launch crosses into the stratosphere.
  6. How good was that! Didn't panic, took our time and picked out the right pass. Brilliant.
  7. It's basically a known fact that anyone who wears purple is a prick.
  8. Not a shit load of options not there. Jmac is 100% getting picked up, the other options might be Duke or even Kuol.
  9. Fuck, I was wearing head phone and pressed play on that. RIP my ear drums.
  10. The real irony of the tweet is that a new Melbourne team has entered the A-League since and pushed Victory to the third best team in Melbourne.
  11. Popa will move on Gestede, Shotton and Kambosa pretty quickly you'd think.
  12. I'm surprised they didn't release a video version of that, guy fawkes mask and all. We are Visitors, We are Shit, We do not forget, We do not forgive, Expect us (to lose).
  13. MacDonald might actually be capable of banging a few in with some decent service. He's about the same size as Jmac and would fit into our style of play perfectly.
  14. Yeah, I reckon you're right. The celebration would've been bigger if he meant that. The degree of difficulty was greater than chipping a keeper from halfway.
  15. Good morning everyone. Just a reminder, we beat Melbourne Victory 7-0 last night.
  16. I have theory about this. Lanky/skinny guys seem to have this relaxed way of crossing the ball. Their legs are more flexible but it makes them follow through more and seem to hit the back post area or row Z. Nuggety wingers whip the ball with more power and accuracy due to their fat little legs. It's bit like MMA fighting, thin lanky guys prefer the head kicks/liver kicks, nuggets like pounding away at the opponents legs. Its a short swing of the leg, but it's a more accurate pointed movement. Anyway #StartNuggetTilio
  17. Start Tillio. Noone is playing like 8:35am, hehe.
  18. Anyone know where I can get a full replay of the game?
  19. Why is everyone so worried? Yes, this club loves to lose these types of games but this is by far the worst Victory team ever vs our best side ever. Interesting little thing I picked up on in regards to positioning in our last game. If victory want to have any chance they'd want to address the bizarre nature of their players average position. Not only did they have no spread but both LB/RB left our attacking wingers well goal side of them. This could simply mean our wingers aren't tracking back due to good cover but it does still mean they are very vulnerable to speed and counter attacks. BTW we're the navy icons below.
