All year we have heard commentators, the FFA, and supporters of other clubs suck off the RBB, commending away and home support. Apparently the 'RBB' have the best away support in the country. It is time for us to witness it, and it is time for us to outsing the 'mighty rbb'. If we are down 5-0, EVERYBODY sings like we are winning 10-0. This is our last chance to get behind our beloved club at home, and what a stage to do so, in front of the FFANMRAIWSW who are flying high on first. Let's break their streak and let's break the RBB. In.

I know we already have our 60's song, but I am not saying it should replace 'Happy Together' or anything, just the chorus to be sung. Good song, most people know it, gets people into it (I think) Just replace 'Sweet Caroline' to 'Melbourne Heart' Melbourne Heart DA DA DA Good times never seemed so good I've been inclined DA DA DA To believe they never would! Repeat.

Round 23 | 2:30pm Sunday, March 3rd | Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Honestly, I am not even surprised. All I can say is meh when we lose away. -
Obviously that is not all it would take, but it is a step in the right direction. Linking the club with the city would be another thing. 'Our club Our city' Obviously I am no marketing genius but something like that could work. There is of course the stadium issue though.
-
Maybe not an alignment, but as I said even giving them blue and white hoops to offer that familiarity. Geelong is sporting mad, and people from Geelong tend to be proud to be from Geelong, so really playing to that pride could really help an A-League team there.
-
From what I can gather the club is trying a bunch of different things when we all know that the best thing to do is playing the song as the players are walking out, no interruptions.
-
I would be all for a Geelong A-League team, although it would be incredibly difficult to do so considering most of Geelong is AFL mad. However if marketed correctly it could work. Also the Cats reach is far beyond Geelong, alot of Western Victoria supports Geelong so that is a potential market I suppose for a Geelong based team. An alignment with the cats could also be beneficial, even wearing blue and white hoops (like QPR) could be good. I am also sure that an 'away trip' to Geelong would be a hoot and a half .

As evidenced by a player like Michu at Swansea you do not necessarily have to pay a massive amount to get an amazing player. They may not have the pulling power, but even an unknown with talent will get people talking and coming to see them.
-
I never thought about Endo and Nakamura that way to be honest. There seems to be some sort of cult following for the J-League here and signing one of them would draw those people in.
-
Alot of Japanese players would surely add to the class and skill of our side. The issue is as it states in that article, they do not have the pulling power somebody like Del Piero has. With that being said I would love to see Nakamura or Endo in a Heart shirt.
-
I am indeed
-
From what I have seen (don't judge me on this, just going by crappy Youtube vids haha) Canadian supporters are louder and better than US ones?
-
Well, hopefully the announcer doesn't talk over the song and just lets us sing it.

I don't really condone the breaking of chairs, but Victory 'fans' are giving us shit for it, and acting as if they are morally superior. All of this considering that they were the ones who lit so many flares, and we all know that Victory supporters have never done anything wrong Also, to the above poster, I am sorry to hear that you had to deal with that, but for the most part Yarraside is friendly, it is just that you get your derby specials on derbies...
