Wollongong must be a standalone team, just has to be.

Even 11k would show the gap is closing. Still remember the days of Heart drawing 4k whilst they would get 25k+. Times are a changin'.

PAX is now 18,984, fwiw.

That last sentence - yes! Unfortunately couldn't make the game today, so listened on the radio, and it stood out massively even on the wireless when they started up the Victory chants. -
Suncorp being the classic case of a stadium being too big for its tenant. If Brisbane Roar played in a Hindmarsh capacity equivalent (or even an AAMI Park), the perception of their crowd figures would be A LOT different. And I've seen a few people say that a Geelong bid won't work due to them having to play at Kardinia Park. Well, if that's the case, then South Melbourne playing at Lakeside wouldn't make viewing any better with a fucking race track around it. And yes, I understand that Kardinia Park's capacity is a fair bit bigger than Lakeside, but the viewing of the pitch is definitely much better than Etihad at least (in most areas anyway).

Even 16k attending would be awesome in itself, but 20k would be amazing.

Three Victorian bids now happening... South Melbourne, Geelong and now South-East Melbourne (a joint bid backed by Dandenong Thunder, Dandenong City, Springvale White Eagles etc). All bids have a lot of merit imo, and hopefully the FFA are looking to expand beyond two extra teams soon because obviously the likes of Tasmania, Wollongong, Brisbane Strikers etc are making good inroads too with their bids. Interesting times ahead, and surely we'll have at least one more derby soon enough, whomever it may be.

And that derby 'only' got 43k when there was talk of there being 50k at the game. Some more home games coming up, hopefully we can see a better increase in those games. -

Over 21k tickets have been sold for this one, expecting close to a sellout. -
Yeah, I'd much rather it didn't happen either, but just trying to think of possibilities how we can fit Lampard in.
-
Also, if we do sign Lampard and don't start pulling a bare minimum of 15k to a home game with Cahill, Bruno etc in the side, then that will just be slightly bewildering.
-
Dare I say it, could it be Colazo that he replaces, considering he's on loan and obviously we're still not clear on when he'll be returning to the side?
-
It's an interesting one and I thought he had a little more presence tonight. In terms of outside factors, a fully fit Franjic and Colazo will make a massive difference in terms of crosses into the box.

What was the crowd figure? -
True, but was also considering the Atletico Madrid game too, which was a decent crowd despite the ticket prices and Madrid fielding a 'B team'. Kardinia Park also surprisingly has a decent atmosphere for football despite being an AFL ground, depending on where you're sitting anyway.
-
Geelong clearly must be on the radar since they've hosted a few games there over the last couple of years with healthy attendances seen at most of them. It'd be interesting to see who the FFA would choose as a third Victorian entity if they were to head down that path during the next phase of expansion, though. One team from Canberra/NSW and one team from Victoria would make sense in terms of derbies and capital growth, which is what the FFA seems to want to capitalise upon.
-
He does seem to to do that, but he's also known for spending time with the younger players too, as stated in his book, and I also remember him saying that on his arrival at City too, so I'd say he probably just likes to bond his teammates together in general.
