  1. Yep. Funny to think the club is nearly ten seasons old, too.
  2. If we scored goals, and stopped other teams from scoring, we'd actually be decent. Oh, and if we had decent facilities, we'd be pretty good too! No wonder Timmy left, I mean we just don't have the resources, so being mediocre is definitely fair enough... ...by the way, I was being sarcastic.
  3. Was laughed at a couple of weeks ago for originally suggesting that it wouldn't surprise me if Joyce wasn't a fan of Bruno because of his flair etc (which I actually meant as a compliment to Bruno). If it does head that way, then I'll be done too. Carrusca leaving is very disappointing as far as I'm concerned but good on him for going to a club where he'll be properly utilised.
  4. Would have to agree, I honestly hope that CFG have learnt from this and actually properly invest in a decent manager, because it certainly doesn't reflect well on them. One person already on our books who imo will make a great manager is Kisnorbo, however it'd be best to wait a couple of years for him to get more experience etc, but he definitely has the makings to be a top manager one day.
  5. That's what you get when you're so far down the CFG pecking order compared to Man City and NYC. Cbf saying anything else because it's already been said, but what a shambles this has been.
  6. Said something similar in another thread mate. In an ideal world, we have Ross and Bruno firing up forward together with a decent number 10 signed in January to link up with them. But whether that actually happens is another story.
  7. It just doesn't make sense to sign someone as a marquee then subsequently hardly even play them. We better have someone decent lined up as a replacement.
  8. Was just putting it out there, as reputations don't matter with Joyce. It's obviously all hypothetical and I'm not for one minute suggesting it'd occur (and quite frankly he'd no doubt team up well with Ross) but in my current state of frustration with this club, nothing would surprise me anymore.
  9. So, we get rid of Cahill and Brandan, refuse to play our marquee in Budzinski, and refuse to play our best player from last season in Kilkenny. Then we refuse to play Galekovic, one of the best GKs in the history of the league, and we play Bouzanis who predictably fucks something up at the worst possible moment. At least Atkinson has shown he can play, but all I'll say is we're lucky we won the first four games of the season otherwise we'd be much lower on the table. And McCormack easily straightened us up when he came on. But we were comprehensively outplayed before he came on, especially in the first half and it was very hard to watch. The question has to be asked - would WJ even play Fornaroli if he was fit? Maybe he would as he was on fire in the pre season, but players with flair and creativity don't go down too well with WJ so who knows. Nothing would surprise me anymore. Inexcusable with the CFG backing after four seasons.
  10. It's been a perplexing season, that's for sure. Couldn't make it tonight (been a member since day one of Heart so sue me) and seeing the highlights in the pre match footage of the old derbies when we were red and white were a sight to see. Now we're wearing City Blue and playing for a 0-0 draw in a home derby when we're sitting above them on the table. Bewildering.
  11. With Marwood being at the game on Friday night, you'd hope there's some truth to this.
  12. And whilst also being a Liverpool fan since the early 00s hasn't been easy, I do understand it could be a lot worse too.
  13. That's all well and good and I totally understand, but we're backed by the City Football Group in a sporting mad city with nearly five million people and we just keep churning out mediocrity.
  14. Hear ye, hear ye. Guess we'll just have accept that this is the club's culture - mediocrity. CFG backed mediocrity.
  15. As endorsed by David Williams - "if we win, we win, if we lose, we lose".
  16. Brilliant win, will go down as one my all time favourite Heart/City wins because there was just something so assuring about the way we played. Loving our defence now and the likes of Marvin etc just topped it off. Sat near active and it was absolutely pumping, didn't stop singing all night. Equally as good as our on field performance. Now to continue this against Wellington next week!
  17. Active started off well but by gee did it drop off, especially in the second half. Good result on the pitch nonetheless, the defence seems to be very, very solid and if Cahill, McCormack, etc can find the net regularly, we could be in for a good season. Really happy that Kamau scored twice as well, hopefully it'll be a common theme this season.

  19. Only a loan, so here til January then? And yes, he did have a falling out at Aston Villa, and has been playing for the Scottish national side.
  20. Now, that's a great signing. Hope we can keep him for the whole season, though.
  21. Oooh another one: We lost this game but Heart v WSW when Yarraside moved ends and subsequently closer to the RBB (for different reasons). Was fucking chaos as I was seated between Yarraside and RBB and saw the constant back and forth when it happened. Absolute scenes. ❤️
