    TV Series

Watching it all within 24 hours crew checking in.
  2. The first was for an abhorrent lack of culinary competence, the second for a complete lack of cultural banter ability, and the third for how triggered 5 letters and a smiley can get someone (some minor redemption for at least achieving a primitive level of cultural banter though). Nothing to do with genetics, just culture.
  3. TTDIM : Venezuela providing another fine example of the auspices of socialism.
  4. TTDIM : commenting 'I thought this was meant to be satire' on every betoota advocate article and thinking I'm really funny
  5. Tesla

    I wonder...

Bruh you need to see a medical professional
  6. Pretty much how I see it too
  7. TTDIM : how communists are dealt with in Macedonia making world news. May it be an inspiration for us all.
  8. While you wont get any arguments from me that most government departments are a shambles, this one is particularly bad because it is engineered to be bad to save money. You basically have to be pretty desperate to bother with them, and that's the goal. I suppose if it saves money it's not the worst thing but frankly government inefficiency annoys me more than welfare so I'd rather they save money by making the department more efficient.
  9. Yeah that's how it works when you have comprehensive cover. Even if it isn't your fault, it's easier to just go through your insurance as you don't pay excess or have any premium increase if it isn't your fault and they handle everything. They just get the other party or their insurance to reimburse them some inflated amount adding admin fees etc on top of the repairs, not your concern anyway. That's why it's good to have a decent insurance as I have heard some of the cheaper ones like bingle will do dodgies and still try get an excess when it isn't your fault. Fwiw I got ripped off on my first car as it got written off and it wasn't my fault but the guy was bring a cunt not answering his phone or his door and in the end when I went through my insurance with AAMI they said they couldn't get a hold of him and so I had to pay the excess. I highly doubt they didn't recover their costs from him tbh, would have chased him to bankruptcy, I just assume AAMI where being dodgy tbh. You get what you pay for with the cheap insurers I guess. Made a significant profit on my next car getting written off like 6 months later when it wasn't my fault again, so can't complain about getting ripped off on the first. Funny how luck works, had 2 cars written off with neither being my fault in my first year of driving and since then I've driven the same car for years with very few issues. On the flip side both were really bad crashes and I guess I was lucky to be completely uninjured in both.
  10. If I was making money off this site I'd be posting on here 18 hours a day.
  11. I think this article is a good start https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/apr/21/link-dementia-stroke-diet-drinks-artificial-sweeteners-study Not sure where I can get the full text of the study but I'd be interested to see wheat artificial sweetener was tested, they're not all the same, and if you were really worried you could just avoid that one. However it sounds like it was just based on a questionnaire with things like 'how often do you drink artificially sweetened drinks' which means that information doesn't exist (and if that is what it's based on then the whole thing is flawed TBH). Even if there was health risks with artificial sweetener you have to balance that against the health risks of too much sugar. At the end of the day, media just reports what creates a good headline that will generate clicks, I'd never read too much into any news article about a scientific study TBH without looking into it yourself. It's actually kind of annoying because making people question artificial sweetener slows the proliferation of it.
  12. TTDIM : people who think Australia is at danger of an attack from North Korea
  13. Yeah it's not for everyone but it's an option worth considering tbh. If I knew when I was younger that Australians with uni degrees can basically get a working visa very easily if they find a job in the US I would have considered it, didn't know this special case for Australians existed under the FTA until recently. As for the balls, you can always come back if it doesn't work out and it's much easier to move country the younger you are tbh. Probably one of the best countries to be a foreigner in as well since its not like you're missing out on much not being a citizen.
  14. Or go school, go uni, take advantage of all that socialist provided shit, and then ditch for the US with your degree and get paid more on half the living costs (until Trump shuts down the ez working visa for Aussies)
  15. TTIM : more anti artificial sweetener propaganda being peddled by the media who are clearly controlled by the powerful sugar lobby.
  16. Wish I got that topic for an essay, then English wouldn't have been my worst subject.
  17. Regarding Williams, not sure why people are so impressed by his performances, the Hungarian league is pretty bad TBH, and he was never horrible in the A-League. He would still be a decent player on the right wage, problem was he would have been on a lot more than his ability should dictate which you cant have in a salary capped league. Good to see Babalj making a come back of sorts, he was a very talented player for his age back in the Heart days but Red Star is a horrible club to move to as the quality of their squad is really high compared to their league, so its hard to break into the team and even if you do youre not playing against particularly good opposition. Then of course he had a lot of injury problems as well.
  18. It's basically like a fast Day Z. Actually it's a pretty good comparison to say it's a mix between Day-Z and Squad. I havent played h1z1 but apparently thats pretty bad. The issue for me is it's just nothing to do once you win once or twice, like it feels pointless. It probably doesnt help that I got two wins on my 2nd day playing, maybe the desire to get a W on the board is what keeps people playing as it probably takes a while for most people (luckily I have a pretty experienced player in my crew). The looting aspect takes up your first 10 minutes if you dont die straight away and then its basically a boring mid game and then the last 5 minutes is just a shooter. It feels like redundant looting, a pointless boring middle period, and then a sub par shooter at the end. It either needs to be even faster to at least get rid of the slow bit in the middle of the game, or longer so there is a bigger looting aspect. I dont know, maybe when they add more maps and more variety of loot it will be better, but right now its basically spawn, try land in good location, loot the same shit every game of a helmet, backpack, armor, two rifles, bullets, medical supplies, and then slowly make your way in to the minimising map size until its small enough for it to end in a battle. I would still say Rust is the best game I have played in the 'survival games' category, but that is too slow and only good with a solid group so I understand why people are trying to make these faster games but it's just not working.
  19. UOTYH : playerunknown's battlegrounds is not that good. The hype on this game will die faster than pokemon go. Also the name is shit and shows even they didn't expect it to be such a hit with a name like that. Can't wait for it to die so my mates get over it and we can play something better.
