  1. lol ez show. Dragon tits cant have kids mentioned every 2 seconds. Clearly angling to there being another Tagaryian as successor, which we know is Jon Snow. Only reason it's important is cause dragon tits will die Show ends with Jon Snow as king after dragon tits dies. Too fucking ez, not even watching anymore, already know how it ends. In the past I'd be like nah its can't be that simple, but show has gone to shit these days and it is so predictable.
  2. I dont necessarily disagree with this new toll road, at least it's something (even though it's just a poorer version of the western half of the EWL). Rather I think making a closed doors deal without a tender process has no place in a country like Australia, even in corrupt af countries at least they fake a tender process. Also don't agree with citylink tolls being extended for a separate road.
  3. Not true, state government is paying $1.5bn. Just doesn't stack up at all with the citylink contract extension, that's worth more than the whole project will cost, yet a subsidy and tolls are required.
  4. So much shit when the EWL was going to be built by the last state government, but Labor gets a free pass for their extremely dodgy toll road? No tender or anything, just a closed doors deal. Wonder how much the labor politicians are pocketing from this.
  5. I doubt that was a financial decision, he would have been getting paid a lot by cloud9 to play, doubt it's any less than US$200k a year + prize money + still would have made something from streaming. Probably just easier to be a fulltime streamer, it would be a lot of fucking work to be a professional csgo player, you see them playing a tournament in NA and then 2 days later in EU, the travel never ends.
  6. Yeah these arent really sponsors, and I doubt any team makes much off the affiliate commission. The best thing to get as an up and coming org is a gear sponsor, who will usually just give the org a bunch of gear to give to players which helps you get better teams/players, I'm sure the top orgs also get cash from their gear sponsor as well. But as for how much money the top orgs in Australia get from sponsors, no idea tbh, I dont think it's a huge amount though (relative to costs and to what it could be), IMO there is a lot more potential for bigger and more varied sponsorship deals, you are starting to see mainstream brands like Mcdonalds come in but it should be more common. Internationally though it's huge, you have brands like Audi paying millions.
  7. In Australia? Dota - not really a local scene, it's intertwined with Asia LoL - Not really sure as it's not a scene I've been involed with much yet as it's difficult to get into, but it's pretty professionally run with match payments from the league and then i guess extras from the org. CSGO - I know about 6 months ago the top team was getting $150/week salary per player + fuckload of gear from sponsor (mmouse, headset, keyboard, whatever else the sponsor sells) + prize money. Wouldnt suprise me if in some teams it's now $200 a week. Org also pays probably $3k-4k entry fees in a year and a fuckload of travel costs for offline tournaments if you're a top team (easily $10k+ a year just for local tournaments). Usually orgs take a small cut of prize money from offline events, maybe 20% max, and these days the prize money is pretty big in Australia, upto $50k for the biggest local tournament but you also get to go to a fair bit of international tournaments, so players in a top team are potentially making a ddeecent amount from prize money. Internationally Dota - a fuckload, given biggest tournament has US$20m prize or something ridiculous, dont know more tbh LoL - a fuckload, has the most money in it, but again dont really follow it so dont know CSGO - probably like US$30k a month in salary for a player in a top team plus 80-100% of prize money (there are $1m+ tournaments), plus a bunch of shit from team sponsors, plus individual sponsors,, plus money made streaming etc.
  8. Wouldnt make any money from it now tbh, but yeah still could be worth getting into.
  9. Start an org Pay people to play for your org Get sponsors ???? Profit I think agent would be good, wouldn't mind getting into it myself now that I know people and how things work. I think most players are clueless to what they should be getting, either selling themselves short or conversely expecting unrealistic things.
  10. A country really doesnt need a parliment to run under normal circumstances, all they do is create a fuckload of new laws for no reason.
  11. So @cadete can now watch Aziz 'never gonna get a game in turkey' Behich play 90 minutes every week?
  12. I leave the country for a couple of weeks and nekminut half of parliament is gone and pauline hanson is wearing a burqa..
  13. How much do you want to invest? And yes it is fun, even though it's going to be a money hole for a while.
  14. As a prominent investor in the OCE eSports scene, all I can say is this is pretty average TBH. Sports clubs getting involved in esports is pretty common these days, partly because they will lose market share to esports, and partly because there is potential for synergies and cross promotion. But when I see a soccer club sign a FIFA player, it shows a serious lack of research. I can just imagine the decision makers thinking "lets get into esports, oh yeah FIFA thats close enough to soccer lets do that'. First of all, FIFA is not one of the big esport titles, and never will be because why the fuck would anyone watch people play FIFA when they can watch people play actual soccer? Games based on physical sports will never be the biggest esport games. So I don't see it as a strong game to invest in. As for the cross-promotion potential, there is a decent case there but you're sill better off going for a bigger game even though it might not be as closely linked to soccer. The biggest investment from a soccer club into esports is FC Coppenhagen with their 'North' team in CSGO, and I think it's going to be a big success for them in the long run. They pay their CSGO players more than most their soccer players. Granted the team they acquired hasn't realised it's potential but still picking up a tier 1 CSGO team is a much better investment than picking up some FIFA player, both as an investment and for cross-promotion potential. Eg if 100,000 people care about competitive FIFA, and 90% of them care about soccer, that's 90,000 people, whereas if 10,000,000 care about competitive CSGO and 50% care about soccer that's 5,000,000 people. Locally, the biggest investment has been the Adelaide Crows acquiring Legacy eSports who are the #2 esports organisations in Australia, mainly because they have a strong LoL team (biggest esport). Rumors are that the Giants are going to acquire Chiefs who are the #1 esports organisation in Australia (because they arent just big in LoL, but also #1 in CSGO which is second biggest esport n Australia). The approach from FC Coppenhagen and the Adelaide Crows is much better tbh, just ditch the idea that investing in esports has to be linked to the sport your club plays and instead just focus on being a big esports brand in general. OR you can go 50-50 like Valencia, who have a Rocket League team (car soccer game, reasonably big as an esport), have some sort of link to soccer but also an actual esport. Still better than just signing a FIFA player. Honestly Melbourne City should just sign me as an eSports consultant, if they did so a month ago I could have easily acquired them the #1 Rocket League team in Australia for example, but they've been picked up by Chiefs now (I know the guy who facilitated the deal). Melbourne City could easily smash the local esports scene, only esport that's close to fully professional is LoL, after that you have the best CSGO team in Australia only getting a $200 a week per player salary for example.
  15. TTIM: When people call Berisha a gypsy thinking it's an insult. Balkan pecking order: * > gypsy > bulgarian > hungarian > albanian Gypsy is a few tiers above Albanian as you can see. In Eastern Macedonia an Albanian wouldn't even get served in a cafe, whereas gypsies have their use doing shit jobs no one else wants to do (and actually therefore getting decent pay and ironically being better off than a fair bit of non-gypsies).
  16. Gonna vote no unless the left stop with this bullshit "it doesnt affect your life" or w/e. Unlike Jimmy, I actually dont disagree with the statement, for the most part I think it's true, but the reason it's bullshit is because if you actually supported gay marriage due to believing people should be free to do what they want when it doesn't affect others, then there are about 50 other things you'd also be for that I can guarantee most the gay marriage supporters are against. The reason these people support gay marriage is simply because they're retarded sheep who just follow whatever gets them social acceptance, it has nothing to do with any belief in personal freedom or a glimpse of intelligent thought. So I am 100% voting no out of spite. But either way the result will be alright, either gay marriage gets up which is good, or the left get trolled which is even better . Bring on the win-win plebiscite
  17. My bots are ready for when we have online direct democracy. Dont worry my minions, it will be a glorious reign for all.
  18. UOTYH : any country where a poor person can't die because they're poor is automatically socialist. Universal healthcare is some Marxist shit.
  19. Honestly it just shits me that the left keep fucking delaying marriage equality for some bs politics. Should have just let the plebiscite happen, it may not be the way they want it to happen but it is the fastest route. That's why I feel like voting no just cause they're shitting me. Most boring issue ever tbh.
  20. I think people are being extremely naive in thinking being a politician has anything to do with doing what's best for the people you represent.
  21. Also its about showing they can throw 200m on a soccer player even with the sanctions against them.
  22. Gonna vote no for the lols tbh, even though I support gay marriage.
  23. TTDIM : Neymar's transfer fee. You must have some seriously fucked up psychological issues (eg socialisim) to have any problem with it.
