  1. Heading off to this one with my son as for a change he hasn't got a shift. Win this and it will tell us where we are at, hopefully 5th if Sydney lose against Mariners and Mac beat WSW both good chances of happening. After a couple of weeks, will Vidmar play Caputo from the start or revert to Jmac? Will Reis an Soup partner as CBs or will he bring back Good? Are any of our injuries back yet? Some interesting questions here

  2. As far as I know and am concerned FRG doesn't exist.

  3. Arthur Papas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Papas Although it's not mentioned here, he was for a short time Heart Youth team coach (or assistant), after coaching Oakleigh and before he joined Newcastle in 2011. He was definitely there at Northcote (with Aloisi?) one time when I was watching our youth team and the likes of Jeremy and Zac Walker.

  4. They can play more games by having more rounds. As it is we have two and a bit which is uneven and unfair. We had three rounds the first season of Heart. I don't know what stopped the introduction of the domestic transfer proposal. The PFA? Again, it's all down to top-heavy administration. Too many fingers in the pie and too many toes to not tread on. All these things are possible. It's just that we stuff around at the administrative level squandering money right, left and centre. How many of the top suits at APL got the pink slip after the $140m waste debacle?

  5. I wonder whether Diamanti was the key link in organising the trip.

  6. I think most of us were just happy we finally got an email from the club!

  7. Paid-up City members may be interested in this. Some weeks ago I was asked via email, and I guess other members were too, whether I would like to submit a question to our FRG for consideration as a topic fir a forthcoming APL FRG group meeting. I asked, admittedly tongue in cheek, a couple of questions about our FRG Membership (i.e. who's on it), how the members were selected or elected, how often it had met, how might members make submission to it, what topics it had discussed, and which if any had so far been tabled with APL. I have received only a standard automatic reply to the effect that my question had been received. Absolutely nothing since. I am currently following this up. I can find out nothing about our FRG to date, except the names of a couple of members via the APL FRG minutes below. The APL FRG and the individual club ones, were to be set up after the 2023 Grand Final in Sydney debacle. I find it disturbing that City, one of whose Directors is also a Director of APL, and therefore presumably approved of the request or requirement issued by APL to its constituent clubs, does not provide to its members any details concerning its Fan Representative Group, which seems to me to be deliberately against the spirit and intent of APL's request. Other clubs, Perth, Central Coast, Sydney, do not appear to have any problem to doing so, as below. https://perthglory.com.au/more/meet-the-frg-glory-10/ https://perthglory.com.au/news/glory-10-frg-latest/ https://ccmosc.com.au/our-fans/fan-representative-group-frg https://sydneyfc.com/news/sydney-fc-fan-representative-group/ https://sydneyfc.com/fan-representative-group-minutes/ Minutes of APL FRG meetings available here: https://aleagues.com.au/more/a-leagues-fan-representative-group-meeting-minutes/ I will endeavour to keep members posted on my progress in posts to this topic.

  8. I sure that you are correct. But I think that the club is not complying with the sprit and intent of APL by keeping secret everything concerning our FRG. You only keep something a secret when you have something to hide.

  9. How about we forget most of this "platform" shit and focus on football in the stadium and getting better quality on the pitch and more fans in the stands? Focus on what you really understand (well, in APL's case, possibly understand?) before launching into new business areas. And I await with interest the resignations or cullings of at least some of the executive suits and directors who have overseen the disaster that is APL.

  10. Irritates me when Arnold is moaning about the facilities he had to use in Sydney. Play internationals where you can use existing proper facilities for training. Why couldn't they use Central Coast's "Centre of Excellence" - it's only in bloody Gosford up the road? Even play the match there - perfectly decent stadium and facilities. Play in Melbourne. Use the so-called "Home of the Matildas" or Casey Fields. And I think Adelaide are building or have built their own facility now. Continual calls for more funding are fine, but surely use existing facilities where they are perfectly adequate? City, CCM and Adelaide are producing the youngsters so I can't see why there can't be cooperation and common sense. The game is bleeding money so don't waste what we've got.

  12. Also, if Nisbet misses match time for whatever reason, he can play against the kids at half time to get his fitness or form back

  14. Looked like a 5 year old having a sulk on the bench last night. Maybe he thinks since RBB is boycotting games he can boycott press conferences. Thank God we never appointed him as a coach
