Jakolis is a waste of space when looked at over the entire season. Don't think he has a football brain at all.

It's also pissing me off to learn today that athletes get fast-tracked to citizenship so that they can represent Australia at sport, whereas other perfectly respectable applicants for a visa (not citizenship), such as someone who has married an Australian citizen, have to wait years. Double standards.

TBH I think it's pathetic. Just being different for the sake of it. Adds absolutely nothing whatsoever to the game. Just dickheads at the administration level.

Maclaren's recent comments suggest an expectation that Caputo will be leading the line much more regularly next year. Suspect we'll see more of Mazzeo too. Plus we've had a gun young striker sidelined all season that I'm keen to see. Be interesting to see how this all pans out in the next couple of months. We'll need to thread the needle in keeping some experience and continuity, but also doing better than we sometimes have in promoting youth.

But keeping him for that purpose is not really that wise given he's contributing next to nothing...I'd rather free up the cap space and promote the academy players as depth

I think Nabbout is dusted, he's on the wrong side of 30 and hasn't been effective for over a season or so now...time to find a replacement

Nabbout was at the game against WSW and the commentator said that he had setback on his achilles and his season was over. He also said that both Tillio and Galloway remain on the injury list.

Glover cost us progression the season before. Interesting how we let Gauci go after stealing him from Adelaide and now he's in the NT. We don't really have a good record with the GK position. Even Tommy Sorensen fell out of favour in his second season.

He certainly has but has also cost us progression in the ACL. Distribution wise he is not a City goalkeeper, turn overrate from his long kicks is sitting over 90%. I'm grateful for the saves but we need to refresh the squad so it's a No for me.

It’s been particularly poor this season I reckon. I mean we were relying on the commentator or tell us the coach was sick and also that he was/or had been in hospital. I think it's the same as last years. 1st and 2nd get a bye, 3rd then hosts 6th and 4th hosts 5th in two elimination finals. Very happy with the result. We honestly seemed to run out of legs in the second half which was a shame, but we were able to hang on and get the points.I tell you what though, having leckie back in the side makes a difference. He's still a bit rusty but he just carries himself in a such a way that he always makes the team better. It's a shame he hasn't been more healthy, because I'm sure that if he and aslan played more together, they would've killed the league this season. Destiny is in our own hands, but tbh I hope we finish 6th and play the tards. We'll know more after Saturday night anyway.

I honestly thought our season was over, it was a good win away from home that gives us ta slim chance. Leckie coming in has really changed things imho, defending from the front has been big for us, I think he is better in the middle.

Jakolis is able to play out games (i.e. avoid injury) so that's good. I guess if he had the finishing then he'd be in a better league on higher pay?

Quite frankly, City should be embarrassed at our season. As has been pointed out, take away the three big wins and we have been poor. Mariners, seemingly on the brink of financial difficulties all the time, have shown what can be done with club spirit, whereas we have become complacent. Phoenix too have lived up to their name. A great season from them. Congratulations to everyone concerned. Money ain't everything.

Yes, I quite liked Ugarkovic playing full back. He's solid there and it frees up space in midfield for more creative options.

Will Talbot and Beach be back. I'd probably prefer Ugarkovic to remain at full back and Lecks in midfield than have Talbot back doing his usual

quite a few outcomes, and that's not even taking into account that we could still finish higher than 6th. sad that we have been so fucking inconsistent and injury prone all season. then again, the three big wins we have had this season has really skewed our GD. take the 7-0, 8-1 and 8-0 out we have played 22 games for 6 wins with 25 Goals Scored and 36 Goals Against. makes think we will win this and then lose to Western Utd

I always have. Sometimes I watch European games and wonder why we consider our product to be so inferior. Sure the top four are several notches above the rest, but the rest are not that impressive.
