  1. Totally agree. Let's get real here, no one helped us, we won it all ourselves and we don't owe anyone anything. Despite the usual doomsday bs on here the moment we started dropping points, realistically it would've taken a near miracle for another team to go past us. In the end of the day, 11 points is a fair reflection of the distance between us and the other teams.

  2. No not uncharitable at all.. just don't support a club who clearly lied when they were pushing for a licence promising a stadium would be built by now when it has only just finally started aswell as many other things.. Yeah they may have helped us against Adelaide but at the end of the day we finished 11 points clear so again it just meant we won it earlier than we would have if they hadn't had beaten Adelaide..

  3. The ''finals'' series is a travesty designed to milk fans of their cash with a format which is alien to the world game. I went along with it, reluctantly, for many years, but the APL decision and the shocking part that MANCHESTER City played in that decision - a club I could not give two fvcks about (despite really admiring the staggering ability of Haaland) - made up my mind for me. HUGE congratulations to our Melbourne City team for winning the league. The job is done. I can't see me ever paying to attend ''finals'' football again. A year or two of half-empty ''grand finals'' might just bring these idiots around. Tough for them if not. Let's just drop this ''finals'' nonsense once and for all. I'm done with it. And, to be honest, still 50/50 about whether I will renew my membership as a result of this debacle.

  4. I am currently in Japan, my first visit since the end of 2017. And I swear, that Tokyo has been rebuilt in that time. Many of my landmarks that I use to guide myself through the backstreets have disappeared and new buildings in their place. Heck they even built a new connecting road through one of the busiest commercial districts. It would take about 60 years in Australia to do teh same.

  5. There should be more value put on the Australian Cup, and that should be played in Sydney two weeks after the last game of the season (like the FA Cup at Wembley) They should also eventually have relegation / promotion playoffs at this time as well. That can be their festival of football. I cant get motivated about finals this year, without the hope of us playing at home in the finals cup final ... (as we are already league champions)
