  1. Doesn't have the pedigree of Pucci as far as I can see....

  3. IMO its a huge advantage to finish top and avoid WU/MV in the semi final.

  4. If that prediction is as good as the German midfielder you promised then we're stuffed completely...

  5. For me the race remains open to the top three teams. Both city and WU have their fates in their own hands whilst MV not only has to beat Sydney but then require that City and WU lose their remaining games. If either City or WU draw or lose a game then their fate is tied to what the other results are.

  6. I remain uncertain about PK as @Mr MO has noted his deficiencies as a manager. However, this is where the club comes in and gives him a hard arse assistant to provide a counterbalance. If the club puts someone there for that purpose they are letting him know that his performance needs to be better and if he is smart he will take it all on board. If he is not then the club can release him. After all Sir Alex Ferguson was not a football tactician nor a particular innovator - he was a motivator, player manager and an astute judge of talent.

  7. Yes, IMO this needs to be emphasised. First place and second place in each Group are determined on all the matches as played. It is the second place rankings for the "six best of the rest" that are determined by expunging the results of the second-placed teams as above against the team that finished fourth in their Group.

  8. Only when ranking 2nd. Still relevant when deciding top spot. Head to head record takes preference over GD, but given our head to head record with Pathum is 2 draws and a goal each, in the event we are locked on points GD over the wider group will become relevant.

  9. I don't think the notion that Victory are in the plate race is anything more than mathematical tbh. CCM v WU, and Adel v WU arfe the only other two fixtures we need to watch imo.

  10. Head to the city Facebook page. There are so many Thai football fans having a sook because Griffiths was making fun of one of their players for being short. Whixh they (for some reason) took as racist. The posts are so funny. It reminds me of when Australia beat Syria and their fans were spamming the socceroos page

  11. That's what I thought too, definitely didn't come across as height-related. And even if it were, height ≠ racism - especially when we have Marco Tilio on our team lmao.

  12. There is nothing in it at all. The Thai football experts think that Griffo calling the Thai bloke short is racist. It's actually quite amusing to see how worked up they are getting

  13. I agree with you Jovan, with GKs it's mostly the player once you are out on the pitch. Last season he's had several howlers too, most of them are forgotten quickly if you actually end up winning these games, which we did.

  14. I did see your other post, don't really agree. Yes Olver played along time ago relatively speaking, but it has zero to do with Glover's performances. Before I continue I would like to put it out there I got no idea if Olver is bad coach, and therefore cannot confirm if he is a brilliant coach either, but surely, to say that he's unable to teach/coach modern goalkeeping techniques because he retired a few decades ago is wrong. The bloke has been involved in the game, obviously has numerous coaching badges and has been studying analysing and above all coaching for a very very long time. I'm putting it back on Glover, he is at minimum 95% responsible for his own performances. Glover would have had at least 15 different coaches over his journey to become a professional and all of them would have been responsible for his development but none of them have ever been responsible for his performances. He is the one that at the end of the day that decides to come, to stay, punch, catch, kick long short. Imo Glover is the problem not Olver. I'm also undecided if last season was an aberration and he played at a level above himself and this season is his true level or he is just in bad run of form and will come good again.
