  1. Colacovski has been disappointing should have offered alot more in his 85 seconds as impact sub

  2. It's all a bit fluid because the team that finishes *2nd, and the team that finishes 4th, often isn't decided until the final day, and then you have to work backwards to rank the second place teams. The United game is a total dead rubber until it isnt effectively; if Jeonnam get something out of the game against Pathum then top spot is back on the table, either by simply winning if Pathum lose, or winning by 5+ if there is a draw. Jeonnam have some incentive to get a result too; if they win they need us to lose for them to slide up into 2nd spot. In fairness that looks highly unlikely if we have a result to play for. In terms of the ranking of 2nd placed teams, our best result at the minute is to hope the game between Johor and Ulsan isn't a draw, because either of those team winning takes them top and we have already secured more points than Kawasaki against the non-last placed teams (Kawasaki play last in the final game). The other key fixture for us is hoping that Kitchee don't take more than 3 points over their two games v Vissel Kobe and Chiangrai. I think our most likely outcome is that we'll go through 3rd ranked of the 2nd placed teams, but top spot and missing out altogether are definitely still on the table.

  3. Overall we didn't play that badly, had a few chance to win but kisnorbo's incompetent coaching yet again costs us. Having to rely on other results is the worst position to be in

  4. The problem is that the title and potentially the ACL qualification could already be in the bag with a good or decent coach. We are a top club now and comes, should come with a high standard and ambitions to the best to our ability. Last year PK ran on the Mombaerts legacy, this year with his own recruitment and non existent tactics the team has just not progressed but has gone backwards. This ACL campaign playing the team without top earners in Leckie, Berenguer and the Italian who shall not be named is all due to incompetency for a variety of reasons. Next to this, there is a fair bit unrest around his personality and rather annoying coaching style. All this ads up to that PK is no longer seen as a coach who can bring this club forward. I don’t think he’s worth the resources at his disposal, (that’s obvious with some of the visa players). The “it worked last season” so he’s a good coach is becoming harder for me to accept. All my personal opinion of course.

  5. Did you watch tonight's match?? Because this thread is about tonight's match, which was utter shite, by our A-League Championship-winning standards and it came down to PK and his squad management. Being our 5th game in 12 days he didn't make any subs until the 92nd minute. Had he replaced Nabbout & Tilio even by the 75th minute mark to give them a bit more than 85 seconds to get into the game, we could've won that as the game was starting to open up and the fresh legs would've done wonders. So yes, we will probably still qualify to the next round, but that doesn't mean we can't bitch about PK's decisions in tonight's match.

  6. No worries just save our subs for the game against the shittest team in the group

  7. @Herman CainIf BG Pathum beat Jeonnam they will top the Group on 14 points and automatically qualify for the round of 16. If we beat United City we will finish second on 12 points. However, for the purposes of qualifying in the "six best of the second-place getters" our results against the bottom-placed team (i.e. United City) will be expunged, and in that calculation we will therefore have only six points. We will be tabulated against the other second place getters in the Eastern Zone Groups F-J for the purposes of determining which three second-placed teams will go through. The points are deducted because there are only three teams in Group J after the withdrawal of Shanghai Port. @bt50 is the expert on this.

  8. Effectively, we're relying on Jeonnam to beat BG Pathum and providing that fails, we'd better hope neither Daegu nor Kitchee win (the latter by 2 goals) in the other groups or we're out. Really shit result, honestly I'm so annoyed with PK's management of this match. Negligent and complacent.

  10. Absolutely my point above... well, somewhere anyway. PK is a fuckwit, he really is. He's got to go. Glover can carry his bags to the airport.

  11. Why is Tilio still on the field? He's clearly not interested in playing any longer today

  12. This is true. We actually had some very wealthy owners at heart, they just didn't give a shit about the club. They were just interested in return on their investment... hey kinda like CFG!

  13. Agreed gomulka has been nothing but pedestrian for the while comp, just a shame we have to play him because all of our other options are much, much worse

  14. I'm going to be a negative Nancy and predict that we'll run out of legs early. 1-3 loss

  15. This is it! Win and we top the group! Draw and we most likely finish second unless jeonnam can beat BG. Lose and we definitely finish second and hope to qualify as one of the best second placed teams. Throw the kitchen sink at BG and let's get the win! Glover has an opportunity to redeem himself. And imo if he plays well, we will win!
