Agree with both of you on the feel of RDR being its biggest plus side. The musical score on it is remarkable.2 points

Some of you are a bit uncharitable here. TBH I'm surprised that some of our older players have been risked at all in some of the games that we have played on these grounds out in the boondocks somewhere, when it might have been more sensible to rest them (as we did with HK up in Shepparton). On the one hand we're critical of all the injuries we have, and on the other we're critical because a couple of our stars aren't going to play on a VFL cow-paddock in Frankston. We need to be consistent.2 points

Anyone else sick of Facebook Politics yet? The New Government has not even sat yet and its fucken relentless, with half the crap being pretty much slander and gossip. You can really tell how these things were not really around in the Howard Years. Do these PPL really think they are going to change other PPL's political views by posting on the same site PPL use to like Box Gaps and Booty Pics?2 points

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zebkrv8O39Y I still reckon Oasis- Fucking In the Bushes would be a great walk out song. Would need to be an instrumental version though1 point

I'd think Migliorini could certainly be in contention to start, I think he should have enough match fitness come October 12. Probably alongside Mass, with the Pattys pairing together at the back? It would be silly to throw in an underdone Wielaert, however Aloisi said a couple of days ago 'he is naturally very fit' - whatever the fuck he actually meant by that, only god knows... I reckon Kalmar has a longer road back, he hasn't featured much this preaseason. Same goes for Jonatan.1 point

Have also found the radio stations to be thoroughly disappointing on GTA. Plus, is there a way to turn the movie style music off during missions?1 point

I am kind of in the middle. I found the art direction, music and overall "feel" of RDR to be mind blowing. Despite it not really having anything to do as such, I spent ages just riding around on my horse absorbing the environment and all its little details. However I didnt have the patience for the story mode initially, so I sort of pussied out and played the undead version. Loved it. Last night I started playing RDR story mode again and still had that same sense of awe, but that will have to put that on hold until I finish GTA. I have been playing GTA since the original top down view and every new edition has had me captivated for different reasons. But this one really feels empty. Graphics are about the same (maybe slightly better) as 4, I have already played this city and so far I have not come across anything that has made me feel like am playing a game at the creative forefront other than the size. Rockstar have always gone out of their way to give the gamer a completely new experience and I feel like they have let themselves down on GTA5. It seems to be a case of quantity not quality. Because of this, I would rate RDR over GTA. I am actually looking forward to finishing GTA so I can get back to Red Dead. Thats my rant anyway. Now back to robbing banks1 point

You can change your name in the account settings section of the membership portal. Will end up adding the salutation 'Sir' to the front of it.1 point

I just received my second membership card in today's mail. Comparing it with the first one, it now has the row printed on it. As I stand with Yarraside, I don't know where my "real seat" is (or that it was missing from the first card). Costly mistake by someone in having to reprint and post replacement cards. I just received my second card also... with a letter: Dear Deviate Recently you would have received your Melbourne Heart membership kit. Due to an oversight in one of the printing batches, a small number of membership cards were printed with insufficient details. Please find attached your replacement membership card(s). We would be grateful if you could destroy the corresponding original card to avoid any potential future confusion. We apologise for any inconvenience. Kind Regards, Melbourne Heart FC Note: As for the costly mistake. I'm tipping it wasn't MHFC HQ's fault, they would have sent the details to be printed and cards created. It would be SportSubs fault for not detailing the cards according to the info sent from MHFC HQ. Therefore the fault, and cost, lye with the manufacture.1 point

I don't care if he's the second coming of jesus. His opinion is clearly wrong, to say that championship league is shit is stupid, just another negative cunt looking to poke holes in what so far has been a flawless off-season of recruiting1 point

That article is much more encouraging than the reports coming out last night. So we're resting a couple of our big name players before the season proper - I don't have a problem with that. It's the sort of management I would expect from a professional club. Why risk two of your best in a game such as the one at Frankston? Also a good opportunity to get Retre and Shroen in action against Adelaide as we'll probably need both of them at some time during the season.1 point

More likely a case of unfit and unconditioned players being pushed too hard in training to get fit Sounds more like it. The surface at Epping is fantastic. It's why they've moved pre season training from the La Trobe paddock. Anyway, I'm not taking SST as gospel at this stage. If it was Sharpy, well then that's a different matter.1 point

Wielaert's an extremely underrated signing in my opinion, he was one of the top central defenders in the Netherlands over the last decade and providing he can stay fit, will be massive for us.1 point

Pretty balanced article and a good read. Some folk have us finishing at the bottom of the table but I like to think that the team that's been put together is pretty good. There's competition for spots all over the park and we aren't relying on yoof to prop us up. If Aloisi gets the team to gel we can go a long way. If we're looking shaky come Christmas then JA better be watching over his shoulder coz he'll be handed one of these which will give him more time to do this .......1 point

This one makes sense 1. "When the Heart go marching in" when the players are marching into the stadium makes sense. I don't think we need a song for this, we'll probably have a bigger (active) fan base this season so should be able to belt it out. 2. "So Happy Together" - some people for, some people against - we should at least give it another go this season. I just hope that they stop the lyrics on the big screen when they get to "ba ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba..." it just look silly from that point on. 3. "Chase the Sun" is a good upbeat song after a goal and in the summer time it makes sense. Though with the euphoria of the crowd of a goal being score, you could argue that no song is necessary at all here! 4. "So Happy Together" - If we stick to it before the game, we should stick to it after a win too. What's better than a win at home for us to be So Happy Together, aye?1 point

Shut up you. Anyone not keen on this should keep that to themselves. Whilst ill not be getting involved, I'd really hope that this actually improves Australia's NTsupport.1 point

Currently, I expect Heart to make the top 6 without difficulty. And if we sign up some more firepower I expect us to at least make the top 4. I reckon crowds will be up. Because we replaced the old spine of the team, Colosimo, Thompson and Fred, with Wielaert, Engelaar and Kewell, I expect us to play a much better brand of football. I think we'll correct our away record soon enough. For me the big unknown is Aloisi. He's been going around Europe this off-season, looking at clubs like Bayern Munich, and furthering his coaching education in England, so there's reasons for optimism. I think overall he could have a pretty solid season, but he needs to improve in a number of areas. All up, I reckon this is about the best Heart has looked going into a new season.1 point
