Love james bond but man i really don't like daniel craig. Just don't think he plays the roll well

beg to differ... with skyfall he became the best bond ever IMO.

Tend to agree that he isn't a great Bond. He's a great actor in a great action film, but it just doesn't capture the Bond of the Connery era or the Fleming books at all. Way to much grit, not nearly enough humour and subtlty/

Casino Royale and Skyfall are good, enjoyable movies, but they aren't good traditional Bond films imo.

100% agreed with Che.

Connery was impeccable as Bond, and even Dalton was quite close to Fleming's original intention.

I don't really like the "which Bond is best?" discussion, because IMO they all offer something different and appeal to different people, but Craig is yet to convince me.

got no idea what your on about tbh, clearly haven't read any of the books.

Bond is far darker in the books, and a lot more violent. The Bond that is played by Craig in the last three films is a lot more true to the books. Casino Royale, baring in mind it was made 60 years after the novel was written, is arguably the closest any Bond film has come to the novel.

Connery, although he served his purpose very well as a bond, isnt what Bond was like in the books. there was LITTLE if not NO humour in ANY of the bond stories. :droy:

Connery was a great bond in the films, but if you are comparing each character to how accurately they played the Bond of the books... Craig certainly wins.

watched revolver and shutter island.

revolver is about Jake Green (played by Jason Statham), whom in the movie is sentenced to 7 years solitary confinement inside a cell between a master con artists' and a chess masters'.

for 7 years, they play chess via writing their movies in grid coordinations in books that are borrowed and returned, and redistributed for loan to the neighbouring cells.

just by playing chess with him, they find out everything about him - his address, passport numbers, bank account details, name, date of birth, every dirty secret - but he has their formula, and with it he re-establishes his empire - and the movie kicks off from there. must watch for anyone that loves those kinda movies that you need to think to watch, essentially a, er, smart movie...

watched about an hour of Snowtown, until I could take no more. Pretty awful acting and some seriously fucked up shit. Here's a brief description of the 1st hour:

Bogans.

Pedos.

Bogan gets fucked in the arse by his brother on the loungeroom floor.

Bogans kill gay crossdressing bogan.

Bogan makes some fat, ugly, middle aged bitch get naked while he sits on the chair.

Bogans kill pedos.

Up there with Bad Boy Bubby for Australian film quality.

Watched Bait last night, movie about a Tsunami hitting Australia, people get trapped in a supermarket with sharks swimming around them etc. Massive let down shows how shit Australian films are tbh, the animations in Jaws looked more real and that was made over 35 years ago ffs.

Either you're blind or just make sweeping statements about anything in your day to day life.

Your point is still valid that this particular film is shit, but the Australian Film Industry is most certainly not.

Was waiting for someone to say this, There are quite a few notable Australian films obviously, but of late most hyped up Australian films have been a major let down.

FWIW I'm about to watch The Reef, hopefully better then Bait.
