Yeah, you'd think they're tier 5 players at best.

Yer some of their performances warranted nothing less. In all seriousness though I was talking in regards to Nunawading actually signing these players. Means they've had a shift in mentality and are having a crack at winning the NPL. My guess FFA Cup is also top on the priority list.

Bit late with this one but for those who missed it Eli Babalj scored for Adelaide in their ACL match against Jiangsu on Wednesday night. Only had about 10 minutes to make an impact and he netted a tough header.

Yeah saw that. Funny thing was he still looks unhappy and grumpy. Obviously they lost but still.

He should seriously consider joining this forum with the rest of us grumpy bastards.

I wondered where he got to, good luck to him.

Former Socceroo David Williams struck twice overnight to help his Hungarian side Haladas to a 3-2 victory over Vasas FC.

Williams notched two goals and set up one in the OTB Bank Liga fixture. The striker sent a left-foot shot past the opposing goalkeeper in the 25th minute.

In the second half he picked up an assist, with Lorant Kovacs scoring off his cross in the 51st minute. Williams then sealed the result in the 70th minute with his sixth goal of the season.

The goals in Hungary must be pretty big. Or that their stands are labelled Z-A from bottom to top.

clearly a stadium with no Row Z

that or some ideas man around the club finally clued in and either (a.) weaved a couple of z shapes into the net to confuse super Dave and / or paint some z's onto the underside of the bar

If only our club officials were more practical when problem solving player management issues 😠

They label their rows Z to A so that Z is at ground level

Regarding Williams, not sure why people are so impressed by his performances, the Hungarian league is pretty bad TBH, and he was never horrible in the A-League. He would still be a decent player on the right wage, problem was he would have been on a lot more than his ability should dictate which you cant have in a salary capped league.

Good to see Babalj making a come back of sorts, he was a very talented player for his age back in the Heart days but Red Star is a horrible club to move to as the quality of their squad is really high compared to their league, so its hard to break into the team and even if you do youre not playing against particularly good opposition. Then of course he had a lot of injury problems as well.
