Seriously less than 2k here ... this is a black day for the club 😶

... but the fkn seagulls are here!

And Bachus has not missed a shot in the warmup 🥴

If the crowd figure is more than 3k I will ne surprised. There are less than 50 ppl in the terrace.

Griffo screaming at Bachus on multiple occasions about his positioning ... none of the boys look like they’re enjoying out there

I wish Warren would stfu for 5 seconds, even his voice irritates me.

Nice bit of interplay between Najjarine and McGree there, almost a goal with some nice football.

Najjarine finally showing us what he can do, maybe it was a confidence thing after his injury?

What's going on? Some good football at the end of the game and a nice goal from Riley, Wazza must be hating this.

A win

A win against very very poor opposition, so poor that we had to score for them (so very City)

Positives:

We beat a team below us on the ladder, these are difficult games for us to win

Good individual goals in a ho-hum performance

Fox commentary team slagging Florin all first half and then singing his praises in the second half as if they hadn't said what they said. In truth, it was his best half of football because the rest of his season has been poor

Good cameo from Najjarine, Joyce is sure to drop him next week

Hopefully, Joyce has a relapse and Vidmar and Kisnorbo can coach the teal all week again

Negatives:

Hard to read much into a game against such a poor opponent except these are the games we usually lose

The crowd looked poor, does anyone have a figure? Not even any seagulls tonight, Joyce's football  has driven them away too

While it’s good that Frenchy and Najjarine looked better, it’s worth noting that the young lad at right back for Roar was completely out of his depth. That won’t happen against teams who haven’t given up on this season yet.

He's being played there out of position

5012.

Lowest of the season isn't it?

Yes.

Sure Brisbane were insipid, but for once we did what we should do against such teams - keep attacking. We looked very disjointed after our first goal, and for a while I thought we'd done our usual trick and let the match slip. Fortunately De Laet scored, and then the youngsters came on and sealed the match. Nice cameos from the three of them - especially Najjarine. IMO he should be getting much more time on the field in the three remaining regular season matches. Berenguer had his best game for us.

Crowd of 5,012 was poor, but with everything that's gone on since the last home match and an AFL match at the MCG I'm surprised that we even broke the 5,000.

Seagull index: low
