belaguttman
Real mixed feelings after that game. It was great to win, Heart would have lost that game every single time, we kept fighting until the 94th minute. Very entertaining for the neutral. However... Positives: Najjar, please play him again this season Wazza. We didn't lose, we tried hard to though Negatives: We barely had control of this game apart from the final 10 minutes and always looked like we could concede Our defence was poorly organised tonight. Jamieson was very poor, again, despite the assist We struggled to beat the 8th team at home, even when they had 10 players Same attacking problems until Najjar came on, far too late in the game, it should have been at the latest when the shit Baccus went off These are games we need to win convincingly, we were lucky. Bart summed it up very clearly in his post-game interview, he deserved MOM just for that interview alone Edited January 22, 2019 by belaguttman

Thrillhouse
What a massively frustrating night. The team wsw put out was horrendous and we still made them look good for a chunk of it. Bonevacia should of had a 2nd yellow for belting the ball out of frustration and we completely battered them after the red. De Laet and others celebrating the 3rd did my fucking head in. Really? Celebrating an equaliser against a bottom team at home with an extra man. It was Najjar that told them to get ready and push for another. Jamos is mediocre at best, frenchy is shit and mcgree needs to release the baller sooner. Fucked around with it way too much. Anyway a memorable night for the loyal members that turn up
SF33
Could be a line in the sand game which sparks some belief from our players, or it could be an accurate reflection of the level we are at (scraping home against a team that's basically done for the season). At some point Bart has to be in the discussion as arguably our greatest ever. He'll likely be ahead of Mooy on games by the end of the season and about half a season behind Fornaroli. And he's just given the sort of interview that restores your faith in the club, that at least some of the players aren't deluded (De Laet wasn't quite as brutal as Bart, but also pretty honest). Has Bart's last two years been as good as Mooy's 14/15-15/16? Fornaroli's 15/16-16/17? Not quite. But he has been absolutely outstanding.
Inchcolm
It is easy to find negatives and there are plenty of them. But this morning I enjoyed a very entertaining game. Yes we left ourselves a bit exposed at the back when chasing the game however what did come to light this morning was when we attack, we can score goals with or without a striker. How many times do we score 4 goals with Joyce in charge, he needs to get the defensive block out of his system and play a more balanced tactic.

Harrison
A very entertaining match and a relief to get the win but we can’t be blind to the issues. The formation and system just doesn’t work well enough. There are too many players in unfamiliar positions and they don’t seem to know how to break down defences collectively. We have to rely on set pieces and long shots to score goals because the combinations aren’t effective. We also look very susceptible to counter attacks. Tonight we were under the pump for long periods against a weak, out of sorts team. We got out of jail and we need to improve quickly. No, Bart apparently is only the 41st best player in the league according to the Herald Sun's assessment at the start of the season. Lol what dickheads.

However we were going to lose that game before the send off, so the coach and players successfully capitalised on the advantage. i think those claiming Najjar changed the game should maybe watch the match again. Great to see the kid get a run but we were all over them before De Laet scores, just the shot wasn’t going in.
fensaddler
Given the fabulous entertainment last night, a lot of the comments on here are incredibly negative. It seems a lot of people forget that WSW's results have been a lot worse than their recent performances. This was a team that was deservedly 3-1 up against Perth with only minutes to go last week. They had pace to burn and caused our previously rock solid defence a lot of problems. Meanwhile, apparently, our system doesn't work offensively but we scored four goals. Go figure. Folks, we'll finish fourth, we won't win the Toilet Seat, but I'd rather get there with a few more games like that. Last night was a proper, entertaining contest and I'm bloody glad I went.

haz
We won. But considering the form of WSW we should have easily won. Even considering how we scored so early, it should never have been as close a game

Likewise WSW had another couple of chances with Sotirio they should have done more with. Anyways i thought on balance we were definitely the better side and deserved the three points, we need to make sure we dont let those silly individual errors creep in like last season, which we've seen in the games v WSW and CCM in the last week.

Yes, we were unlikely to have won without the red card. OTOH, we've also faced 10 men several times this season without ever looking like a threat. As I've said, mixed feelings about that performance.
Tommykins
Quite enjoyable game in the end. Would have preferred to see Najjar play centralm but DeLaet is actually a handful for most teams when we play like that (he's also scored more goals than Honda or Troisi, which I have delighted in telling the MV people at work today)
citypool
We’re in in a strange situation Bruno has been expelled from the team so we shouldn’t be winning games but we.. are and it’s good but also frustrating because there’s no way we can beat the top teams.
Harrison
Only one of our goals last night was from open play and not the result of a clear error. Plus we were against 10 men for two of our goals. They had two 19 year olds in defence, an 18 year old GK and Elrich playing CB. We absolutely had to win this game and we did. It was a big relief. But we now have two away games against two good sides and it’ll determine whether we are genuine contenders for top two or also-rans. Unless we find a more effective system we will continue to struggle against better defences. That’s why Bart and RDL weren’t happy.

Yes, we're definitely a top 6 team, but probably behind Nix, as well as visit0rs, smurfs and Perf. I can't see us beating any of them in an away final, and that's likely to be what we get. It may change with a good striker and a change in style
