Sydney have the FFA Cup final tomorrow night, which also means travelling to Adelaide. While we have a less interupted week, and the game at home.

Their marquee de Jong might still be injured, but at the very most only come off the bench agaisnt us.

==========================================

The odds are in our favour. But who knows if we will come out with the same slow intenstity as the CCM game.

Haven't beaten them since the Cup final. We're due, so 2-0 win for me.

In 24 league matches we've beaten them only 6 times, never beaten them more than once in a season, and have taken only one point from them in the past two seasons.

Our records against both Sydney teams are woeful.

Goalscoring looks to be our problem at the moment. 1-1 draw.

Hopefully see Jamo and Vidosic start in place of Big Boy Haz and Wales. Also despite Bacchus being quite good I'd still prefer Griffiths beside Brattan to add some extra steel in the middle and give Brattan a bit more freedom to push higher up the park.

Delbridge into CB, Jamieson to LB, Vidosic for Wales, and La Rocca dropped.

Delbridge  has been a gun at CB so far this season. He's just not an attacking LB.

This is how I’d line up

LaRocca out IMO cost us the first goal.

Wales to come on as a Sub as Dario has more of a chance of scoring than Wales!

Jamo to bomb forward from the left which will help Berenguer!!

3-1 Win

Bruno to score

100% agree with this. Griffiths to come on at 75' for Brattan if we are winning. Wales to come on between 60'-80' to run at tired defenders. Caceras as backup incase Mcgree or Florian run out of puff.

If we win this game, good chance we will be outright 1st.

High intensity cup final so far. Sydney will need to load up on the peptides this early in the season to not be buggered for our game.

Hoping Sydney score now. Fingers crossed it goes to extra time

Hopefully we put out our full strength XI. I know its a good thing to decide the XI by merit, but sometimes the flaw in that arises whereby you have games like last week. Although I fully acknowledge we really should have won that game.

I know people are having a whinge about the boring style so far, but its round three, usually takes a few rounds for teams to get up and going.

The template for beating SFC has been set by Adelaide. In round 1 this season they played high tempo, trying to nullify Ninkovic by cutting off service from O'Neill and Brillante. It nearly worked. It worked last night but it required wonder goals from Goodwin. That's the point. Not only will we have to keep their midfield quiet and mug Ninkovic and Le Fondre, but we're going to have to score. You can bet that Bruno is going to get battered and he'll get very little sympathy from the ref or VAR. We've shown we can get goals from McGree, Vidosic and De Laet but our midfield are going to have to do battle with theirs and get on top.

I ended up getting 2 lots of family passes for free for friends that are not members. I thought we were only allowed 1 family pass but it let me take 8 tickets each with a different barcode. Does that sound right? Or is there a catch here.

Nah that’s right. Just keep in mind that each family pass has 2 adult tickets and 2 children’s tickets, so make sure you don’t have any adult friends with child tickets. You could even go back and buy more - there’s no limit.

I find it strange that the club hasnt promoted this much if at all. Its also bizzare that we can just go back again and buy more. Is it only for this game?

Technically we have found a loophole with the code. The whole promotion is a McDonalds initiative where if you buy a family meal at McDonalds the code is at the bottom of the reciept. Someone realised that the code is the same for everyone and hence anyone can just go and get the tickets that were supposed to only be for McDonalds customers. And yeah it's just for this game afaik.
