He's a keeper (Mark Birighitti thread)

during this pathetic run of games Eugene hasn't looked like half the player we saw earlier in the season. Birraz should be #1 for the rest of the season, we've got nothing to gain with a 37y.o keeper in a team that's going nowhere fast. There's a spot at CCM for Eugene to continue his career a few more years.

I never have understood that line that "he's highly rated".

Nobody fucking knows if he is any good. Nobody, not even Delanov himself.

Until he plays several senior games its just speculation. Okay he may have the skill set to be a great player but until he plays how can you say anything.

The information put out there by people who actually go out and watch the youth games, for example Joey Lynch, are the ones who say this. Plus he is only 19 and Keepers usually start late anyway.

Wouldnt be surprised that Birraz already has a deal agreed for next season somewhere else and thats why he issnt being used. Or Joyce is just playing favorites again.

To be honest the “ Eugene is 37” argument is a red herring. Keepers mature late and many aren’t at their best till mid to late 30s in any case. He could easily play 3 or more seasons if he took care of himself.

The bigger issue is his form does seem to be dropping off, so that’s an opportunity if Birighitti is ready.

Galekovic is Gigi Buffon in A-league. Coaches don't change keeper in one competition unless they do Janjetovic's type blunders.

With those clubs they don't have a good 2nd choice keeper especially wsw tried a few then had to bring vedran back and another brain snap, dropped again and repeat. City got 2 keepers who'd be starting 11 have to use them both

Zois would be spewing at the comfort of the benches that Birighitti sat on for his Zoison*.

*Zoison = Zois + Season (on the bench)

The irony of Birighitti's stay with us was that just when he had an opportunity to show what he could do he had an injury and Delianov played instead.
