You seem to have some knowledge of the match. Can you please give the starting XI and where they played?

that was all their was from the match review on instagram.  Sounded like De laet dominated his side. And Halloran ran rampant with his pace. Second half a lot of youth played, peiras cavallo, metcalfe.

Moments later, Brattan would again play through Wales – this time with a brilliant piercing ball that split open the Roar’s midfield and defence – but the youngster failed to capitalise, with his effort travelling just wide.“

This from the match report. I note that Vido took the penalty and converted. Bruno, please take note and next time let Vido take a pen. Brattan played a “piercing ball”. Why doesn’t he do this on a proper match day :(

I’m getting splinters watching Bratts play sideways and ignoring Bruno’s call for a piercing through ball. Ah, the season hasn’t started yet so Wazza will have this sorted by Round 1

In the absence of any open City pre-season matches, four of us off to watch Bentleigh take on Adelaide in the FFA Cup semi-final at Kingston Heath (opposite Moorabbin Airfield) tonight.

For those who haven't been there it's a nice little ground, holding about 4,500 maximum. With not too much expense it could be turned into a stadium holding 8,000-10,000. Adjoining all-weather training/playing pitch.

Public transport is horrible however.

Why go to the cup game when you can stay home and watch mega star Ussain Bolt play 15 minutes off the bench in a meaningless preseason friendly tonight!

Anyone else go to the Bentleigh-Adelaide game last night?

Effective performance from Adelaide. They stifled Bentleigh going forward, and once they regained possession were very quick when the counter-attack was on. They missed a number of chances - Blackwood the main culprit. Halloran is their danger man - very good match from him until he faded a little in the second half. Based on last night, letting Jakobsen go was a mistake - he did more work last night than he did in two seasons at City and looked good.

Both sides were very energetic and it was end-to-end stuff for most of the match, very little back-passing (especially from Adelaide) and very entertaining. IMO Adelaide could do well this season.

That's the best still I could get out of the clip. That's De Laet bottom left. Can anyone make out any of the others?

On the Facebook page I can see Brattan and nos 17 and 8 ( Caceres and McGree).

Wales is in the middle of the box

Players that we know played Vidosic, McGree, Wales, Caceras, Brattan, Galekovic, DeLaet, Griffiths (sent off, 2 yellows). Fornaroli came on as a sub

The youth boys sitting on the ground, dont know why I find this so funny.

The focus for the next three seasons is return on investment. There's no improved return from more Bunnings' plastic chairs. Especially purple ones.

Last game, starting XI: Galekovic, Jamieson, Delbridge, Schenkeveld, De Laet, Brattan, Caceres, Vidosic, McGree, Berenguer, Wales

Bench: Birighitti, Griffiths, Fornaroli, La Rocca, Pasiotis, Portelli, Metcalfe, Lesiotis

Anyone want to suggest formation and who played where?

TBH thats an interesting XI, seems to be more CM/CAMs than wingers

For the starting XI:

---------------------Galekovic---------------------

De Laet----Bort----Delbridge----Jamieson

------------------Brattan------------------------------

----------------------------McGree--------------------

------------------------Caceres------------------------

Wales--------------Vidosic--------------Berenguer

No idea who got subbed on and where they played

And is Malik still injured? Not too confident with our CB pairing
