What went wrong? He was having a medical at CFA Manchester why the sudden turn around?

A survey showed there were not enough "polish identifying" people in Melbourne to make a real difference to crowd numbers. We are going after a Sudanese player instead.

Judging by Centre Road, Bentleigh, has to be a Chinese or Indian.

Plenty of Polaks in Melbourne we just don't like crowds, the weather, the price of food at AAMI park, birds, public toilets, crossing roads, people of non european lineage, public transport, wearing other footwear besides slippers, trees, wet grass, air... and the planet earth in general. We tend to stay home a lot as a result.

hah fark sounds exactly like my Polish mate.

"The first meeting in which the former Polish representative was present was the 1/8 finals of the Australian Cup between the Polaka team and Bankstown. Mierzejewski started the match on the bench and when he came on the bench 71 minutes his team was leading 2-0. In the added time the Polish midfielder used a penalty kick. Interestingly in the quarterfinals Sydney FC will play in Melbourne City, which is expected to hit Marcin Budziński in the coming days."

Dated 29th August. So hopefully he is still coming.

"Marcin Budziński, who recently played in Cracovia, is still available. The midfield midfielder was due to sign a contract in Australia but officially did not do so until now. Semir Stilic is still free, who can not decide. Bosniak can not be called retired footballer, because this year will only be 30 years old. There are also two other recent vassals - Matija Spicić and Alan Uryga, who were supposed to anchor in Jagiellonian or in Vistula Plock, but still with no one tied up."

Maybe he didn't pass the medical! Or CFG retracted to offer now that Bruno is injured.

Not sure how to interpret that. It says he is still available, but also says was due to sign a contract in Australia but did not do so till now.

Does that mean contract is signed or he's pulled out?

The thought of starting the season without a proper left winger, without a good attacking midfielder and without a proven center forward who can play 90minutes every week is concerning.

Step forward the people on here who will say "there's still plenty of time...."

Well if it is the case then it's either two things.

1. Failed the medical

2. Another player they wanted more became available

Or 3. The player wanted more money, just as with Troisi we don't want to spend too much on a little above average player.

Not necessarily. Cracovia wanted to re-sign him, but the club jacked up because Budzinski's agent wanted too much commission. Maybe that's what happened with us/CFG.

Somebody will come in but I doubt recruitment is according to plan!

Certainly doesn't appear to be. First Troisi, now Budzinski. As you have pointed out, with no LW, Fornaroli and Brandan both injured, no playmaker no. 10, and a RB who couldn't get a game last season, it's a bit of a shambles. We'll be lucky to get into the six at this rate.

So, we couldnt seal the deal with troisi, palic or budzinski. Scouts around the world and we dont have a RB or AM. This has to be the most frustrating australian club to support.

We probably haven't sealed deals with loads of players.  We just don't know.  We have two specialist RBs and a CB who can play there.  But some of our support have it in for the guy who is currently first choice.  And even the dogs on the street know we need a number 10. It's not perfect but the sky isn't falling in either.  We're probably one signing short of a full squad and our marquee striker is injured.  Both can be fixed, we have an Australian international as cover for the latter...

Could be, did have Carusca sniffing around last week.

The reality is the club doesn't need to announce something as soon as pen is put to paper and its done. Now you can complain if they don't because they should let members know blah blah blah. But, come round 1 everyone will forget a delayed announcement,
