So you have Friday night,  you have Christmas Eve,  you have Boxing Day and you have all day Tuesday.

Here's an idea let's play at 8pm Tuesday night. Fucking stupid,  should be at 5 or 6pm so people who do have to go to work on Wednesday can actually get there

It's because we're beholden to the TV agreement we have. They say "Jump" and we say "How high?" I don't know why you've got this silly idea that football fans who actually go to matches count for anything at all in this matter...

                                         Bouzanis

Franjic                    Tongyik          Jakobsen                    Colazo

                                         Kilkenny

Fitzgerald                                                                         Brandan

                                         Brattan

                            Cahill/Caceres    Fornaroli

I would love to see a back four, a diamond in the middle (Brattan playing at the top of the diamond where he can utilise his passing skills) and Cahill or Caceres playing as a second/deeper striker.

Looks like Jacobson and Malik are still out injured, unless they have a very quick recovery.

                                                Bouzanis

Franjic                  Chapman                 Tongyik                       Muscat

               Brattan                                                   Kilkenny

                                   Caceras

Colas                                                                                      Brandan

                                                    Fornaroli

Bench- Retre, Cahill, Fitzy, Kuzmanovski

Will be interested to see Colazo playing high and wide again. Kilkenny and Brattan need to both play CDM and stick to their positions for the most part to allow the attacking players space to isolate defenders. We need Chapman to martial Tongyik as his defensive positioning was very poor against victory, leading to atleast 5+ clear cut chances for Berisha alone. Need better performances all over the pitch.

Don't you believe it. The elastic band that is Van Schips Law will bring us a win and a JVS mini-run TM (until it sucks us back the other way).

Whichever way it goes it is a critical match. Lose this and we're badly off the pace, we've lost momentum, and faced with 9 of our remaining matches being away from home I just can't see us making up the gap. Win it and we regain momentum and confidence and we can still give more silverware a chance.

Yes, probably with your professional knowledge you're getting worried that poor old JW is also becoming delusional...

Bela's professional aptitude  is indeed insightful, but so is the history of Melbourne Heart / City ....... plain to see that the hand on the tiller never keeps us on course

Count less and less

soon some tv exec will realize all they have to do is fill the stadium with CGI crowd and some generic noise with chants that can be recorded anytime..... bingo.

Full stadium, no crowd issues looks lovely on tv

and don't think your ticket holder annual fee is important to the club when tv rights will bring gazilions $$$$ instead

welcome to modern football 2030!!

i hopefully will be dead by then

7.50 is way too late of a start time, not everyone is on holidays, in fact we won't even be able to pull in any of the cricket crowd from the G because of it.

I haven't followed cricket for years - do Boxing Day tests still get massive crowds?

10 hours of pre drinking at the G in 36 degree heat should be enough to numb the pain of a lackluster city performance.

Like to see us start with our best players, and Timmy, playing a 4-4-2 ... with the quality in our team, and by playing to the strengths of our best players, we will be hard to beat.

Timmy comes off at around the 60 minute mark, and bring on Caceres in midfield and throw Bruno up front ..  keep it simple!

I really want us to beat these flogs and get revenge for when they beat us earlier in the season ...

Who could forget this horror show?

I have it good authority that the league is taking precautions this time around if madman Lowe gets sent to the stands again. Apparently he really trashed the room he was sent to and scared the hell out of the AAMI park staff. With appropriate restraints, this little setup below has just been delivered to the stadium (apparently it's exactly the same setup K Muscunt uses whenever there's a full moon)

Vant Schip to shit himself of losing another game and play with a back four. Colazo at left back. Kamau should be replaced for Fitzy so I'll back the decision that Kamau will be dropped for tomorrow. Ideally Caceras should go in place of Cahill but that probably won't happen. Even Brandan in place of Timmy would work well.

Franjic   Chapman     Tongyik     Colazo

              Brattan         Kilkenny

                          Cahill

Fitzgerald                               Brandan

                         Bruno
