MCFC have put together an incredibly competitive team who have some great skills. Everyone who can should get along to this match and support them - particularly as it's against you know who. Another chance for us to show who is the only club in Melbourne.

If the 2 visa players join this week that will be very interesting. Kim Little in particular is being talked up as a superstar by the commentators which should be exciting.

The lack of the Matilda's squad members from our squad this week is terrible timing but a good test for the rest of the team.

Don't expect too much from the girls this time around. Looking at the video a number of our goals against Sydney were the direct result of awful "distribution" from the Sydney 'keeper.

My take on "double headers" is that not too many people want to go and watch two matches with a 1-2 hour break in between.

Kim Little and Jess Fishlock are supposed to be joining for Round 3.

the modern trend of lengthy warm up sessions on the ground prior to the game have destroyed the Australian tradition of "curtain raisers". It's pretty sad

Was really going to go but with 3 little ones with nothing to do for 90 to 120 minutes might be recipe for disaster  (for me). Real shame the girls are actually keen to watch.

Will try and get to some of their other games.

Isn't there stuff to do outside the grounds? Like street soccer and the like? you don't have to stay in the grounds. GO have a kick with them in the park next to the ground, etc.

Really?.. That´s not bad even if it´s a double headerAnyway, winning this game was important, to show that we have arrived -_-

Yeah, that's a very impressive attendance, and congrats to the women on a first ever derby win.

What's the W-League attendance record, anyway?
