Fair play to the guys. Great effort from what I saw.

All for nought if we don't win next week.

Side note: am I crazy or has Kisnorbo started to firm for the captaincy next year over the past month? Paartalu's certainly done nothing to suggest he's the man for the job recently.

Jaliens & Kisnorbo were both fantastic.

Could see it coming at half time.

Jaliens was average imo, was far too slow to keep up with the balls played in behind for most of the game but Kisnorbo was on another planet and covered everything.

Mooy great as usual and Velaphi reliable.

He's better at Right Back for us

Well done boys, so proud. Against 12 tonight, real backs to the wall stuff.

Who cares if it wasn't pretty, it's just a massive result in the context of this season.

Last few years we'd play the same non-pretty crap and end up losing it so it's good to be on the other side for a change!

All too often this club finds a way to drop points. Well, tonight the team found a way to win maximum points, so big credit to the team and the staff up in Sydney.

No Novillo, no Kennedy, no Chapman, no Safuwan, no Melling. No problem.

Defended like Trojans, and that was the foundation for the victory. Kisnorbo had a true MOTM performance IMO. He won just about everything in the air, and him and Jaliens managed to contain Janko and keep scoreless, who the media and all the pundits effectively decided pre-game was going to steamroll us. Also Velaphi (despite perhaps not coming and collecting long balls enough) did well, and Clisby also fought well.

Mooy delivered excellent freekicks consistently. And despite having an 'off-night' in open play, by his very very high stands, still managed to play a pearler of an assist after combining with Koren.

Also credit to Brown. Doubted by many (and not always unfairly, I agree), but he took his goal well by rounding the keeper (something our players haven't always done successfully) and prodded the ball into goal.

Overall it turns out the team has some depth, the team can do well when stretched and there are many players out, and can scrap for a win (even away from home) against a highly fancied opponent. Also the team and all the players across the pitch can actually scrap, and fight for 90 minutes to get a hard fought 3 points (rather than 3 points achieved from playing good, pretty football). A big win, with great attitude shown by lots of the players, and a team that was made well motivated. Now with that win the team is a good shout for the finals.

Not often you can hold your head up high after a City away match but by God you can tonight! The sort of result that we've wanted for five seasons. Great stuff.

Incidentally James Brown becomes our 17th goalscorer for the season - must be some sort of A-League record there.

A great win for the lads!!Have recorded it and will watch it laterIt sounds as if we rode our luck but 3 points is all that matters!!

Don't bother. Thanks for the advice, however I would rather watch it and give a valid opinion on the game.

What for?

Uneducated misinformed half hunches is what I go by, works a treat.

He is 18th, equals all time Australian record with Auckland Kingz or something
