Japan pressing intelligently when the ball is played to our midfield and congesting the centre of the field that is nullifying our midfield diamond. Our fullbacks are providing no width so we are going nowhere. Ange needs to switch to a 4-3-3 for the second half but that really means that our subs have to be Kruse, Leckie and Timmy

Saudis looking like the surprise packet in this group so the away draw isnt so bad.

Worth noting we're the only team to not have played Thailand yet, if we cant get 6 points in the two games against them then we cant really complain if we dont qualify anyway.

Japan look a bit dodgy tbh, someone remind me to bet on the draw next tike out when they host Saudi Arabia.

Why dont we also have a friendly in Novemeber alongside the qualifier against Thailand?

The lack of width was a killer, especially with McGowan at full back who doesn't understand when to start his runs when in transition. We seemed to congest the middle of the park way to much and allow the Japanese to get bodies behind the ball too easily. Surprised it took Ange so long to make the changes.

Hopefully we revert to the 4-2-3-1 soon and Kruse gets some minutes at Leverkusen and finds some sort of form of the past.

Just found this. Apparently the rules for spectators for the game in Thailand. These rules are in response to the death of their King:

-Clothing for spectators shall be in polite manner with suggested colours such as white, black, gray and preferably with no designs on them.

-Equipment such as drums, trumpets, flags, megaphones, whistles, cheering sticks and any other equipment will not be allowed to enter the stadium.

-Spectators are not allowed to show any symbols.

-Banners will not be allowed to enter the stadium.

-Fan chants, along with any other activities that are considered joyful, are strictly prohibited both inside the stadium and surrounding areas.

So basically it needs to be like a funeral procession

How did Geria get back in? He has been terrible in the games he played against us?
