Apparently Melbourne City dominated for the first quarter of the game, having the majority of possession and playing in Adelaide's half, and created chances. Thereafter it was apparently a fairly even contest, but Adelaide had some good finishing. Another thing is that City played pretty much an entirely new NYL XI, so it might take some time for the team to gel and get on a roll.
