GreenSeater
Glad that it's all sorted and that the best design won! Actually found it really interesting that the majority of Facebook and Instagram comments were in favour of design 3 and yet here on the forum design 4 was the most popular judging by the posts in other threads

They are the 'Slactivision' generation. You know, the type that talk about shit that they "care about", but don't actually do anything!
The Aardvark
Good logo. I was in the group that would have liked a blue stripe to be incorporated, but it is a pretty awesome looking logo so no real complaints.

HEARTinator
Great! 'MELBURNIANS' stands proudly in front of the red&white shield with the blue dome providing a nod and a wink to our new overlords. Onwards and upwards.

heartrate
I can confirm that some kunts have too much time on their hands, with one bloke in particular going to the trouble of making (off the top of my head) 15-20 different accounts It's killing me to know who it was! cadete
I think most PPL on here that voted should be more than grateful just for having a chance to be apart of the process... IMO the Melburnians Core as the PPL actually putting in the hard work to get this thing of the ground really did not owe anybody else a major say in this decision. The same goes for any other decisions that they will need to make from here on.
Jestr
As a leadership group they absolutely do not have to ask for permission to make decisions but if they conduct themselves in an open and transparent way from the start they will earn respect, trust and strong following. These attributes can't be bought and have to be earned Well done to the boys! They have done an outstanding work!

Elie Anid for sure lol nah! I voted for 3 but I definitely dont have the time to do 15-20 accounts . Im happy with 4 and now we all should move on, we have bigger and more demanding issues that needed to be sorted asap before FFA Cup and A League season starts. fiz.heart
Sorry fellas I can't let this go.. Option 4 is so shit that I'm afraid it will turn off supporters from being active at matches because they won't want to associate themselves with a cheer squad that has a banner that looks like that. It could do more harm than good... We should go with option 3 and save the embarrassment. For the good of the club

For the good of the club I don't know man, no. 3 being basically the Man City logo surrounded by the Yarraside wreath and ball is pretty cringey. There was a vote and it won, and it's just a logo, and i probably won't even wear any supporter gear anyways, so who fucking cares?

Would be good to get t-shirts made with the logo similar to the T-shirt Melbourne city gave away! Do you guys think people would be interested in them or would they stick to the official club merch?

Jestr
I think that cityfc white t-shirt with giant arse logo in the middle is a bit vanilla ish Not a lot of thinking had been sacrificed in designing it. Maybe we could start another thread with some ideas for t-shirts, singlets or caps/beanies etc Not looking for a full range of merchandise to compete with the club's gear as it would be way too much work. Just 1 or 2 ideas

Pete Heartspur
Since it's been mentioned, if we want to be 'inclusive', I'd say it would be wise not to mock people who refer to the terrace as a 'cheer squad'. Whether they are old or new supporters, some people just aren't familiar with terrace culture or terminology and could quite easily be turned off/away from active support if they're belittled in such a way.
