Now before you ask- no I have not been smoking weed. I was reading a conversation between to Victory fans about how funny they think it is that our ice baths are just plastic wheely bins filled with ice. And to be honest I think its pretty funny too. I am not being disrespectful to the club or anything, I just think that an ability to maintain a sense of humor about yourself is a good attribute. We are not a big/rich club and I am okay with that. In fact I am more that okay with it. I like it and think we should embrace it. Anyway just thought I would try something a bit different and throw it out there. Reasons it might work - Everyone knows the tune - Its upbeat and catchy - Pretty easy to learn - Fun/funny - Modern - Original Reasons it might not work - People prob wont understand it and therefore may not dig - People might understand it but think the premise is too weird/silly - Its a hipster song and some may not want to make that association - There is no accompanying grainy youtube clip of European fans singing it and therefore is automatically disregarded DISSECT... theresonlyonebzamora Posted February 1, 2012 Report Share Posted February 1, 2012 there's plenty of original chants going around on both this and the old forum. i think what people like about this chant is the creative lyrics behind it. heaps of people including myself have adapted songs and made new lyrics, but i don't think there's been many that have actually been cheeky/amusing lyrically.
