anybody played online poker before?

I think I'm a reasonable Texas Hold'em player and want to give it a go, any recommendations?

A little for fun. And I wouldn't take it any more seriously than that, it's just a massive grind if you want to make money off it. Like play 10 hours a day playing 12 tables at a time. Just to make what you'd make from working any job in Australia for that time. It's mainly like Eastern European cunts hustling that shit where they can make a good amount of money for their country from it.

What does the house generally take from it?

Like I said I only ever played for fun so I played fuck all cash games, but I think upto 5% at pokerstars, but you get some of it back in one way or another (there is some sort of rewards thing, bonuses with some deposits, etc)

@HeartFc posted about poker a few times, he'd know more than me.

Today I have received the highest honour that can be bestowed upon a punter.

Forget bookmaker restrictions and all that, those are nice accolades to have a bookmaker basically tell you that you are better than them and they will never beat you, but it's not that hard to achieve.

I have now reached the point where I win so much that even betfair are catching feelings and want a bigger cut. I have entered the world of Premium Charges, which apparently only affects 0.5% of Betfair customers. Really it should be almost impossible for a punter to be charged Premium Charges, it's meant to be only for traders who are making a profit on almost every market they bet in, but I've been in such fine form that even as a punter I've been hit.

Would have been over $3k I had to pay this week in premium charges, but first week is waived.

Basically, I've clocked punting. Now what do I do with my life?

Depends on the game type. Torny or cash.

Cash (meaning the chips in front of you are the direct value) is around 3.5%-5% of each pot.

Torny (meaning you pay $10 for 3000 chips and you slug it out for the top 12% of players in the torny). Thats generally seen when you enter e.g you pay $5.50 and 50 cents is taken by the house and not added to the prize pool.

Wouldn't be worrying too much about the house its the people you're playing against you should really be concerned about. Poker is super cheap to play online but like tesla said its a fucking grind of you wanna make decent and consistent cash. I managed to pull of over 10K in 2015 but that was over 350 hours easy and it fucked with my relationship and work.

Key to winning good in roulette? Love hate relationship with it

Don't play it but if you must its a hit and run type game. Don't fuck around spreading chips all round the table over and over. Cluster that shit around 1 or 2 numbers, you'll either clean up or fuck up. The longer you sit there the more likely you'll go broke.

Gotta be careful with the underage gambling. If you're playing with decent cash, (e.g. over 1k) then a smaller casino will let you play and only pull you up if you beat the house. Legally they can take your cash and life ban you.

Get on with me on this if you guys want.

Saw on some blog some guy found that over 2.5 goals is underpriced by the market on premier league games, especially when the odds are between $2-2.50 (pinnacle closing odds), of course now that it's public on a pretty big blog the edge could easily disappear, but my experience is that edge's stick around for longer than you'd expect and the amount of goals in the premier league has been consistently rising so if that continues that further increase in goals might not be priced in which would support the edge further.

I will be betting on betfair as my discount rate is 44% which makes it quite competitive, but if any of you want to follow you can even beat pinnacle odds with the corps sometimes because theyre lazy and know they can just ban people that keep taking overs, but it shouldnt be an issue for smallish bets.

Anyway i'll post the matches if anyone wants to get on, i think we can grind out a profit but upto you if you want to take the risk. Easy for me as even if it doesnt work out i'll just end up churning some commission and getting away from PC charges.
