jw1739
Melbourne City FC will host a special Australian Citizenship and Affirmation Ceremony during the Club’s Australia Day eve double header at AAMI Park on Monday 25 January. Through Melbourne City FC’s community program – City in the Community (CITC) – the Club has forged links with the richly diverse Victorian community, promoting a sense of hope and aspiration through our vast array of community programs. City fans will gather at AAMI Park to witness the Club’s Women’s side play for a place in the Westfield W-League Grand Final, before our Hyundai A-League team reignites its trans-Tasman rivalry against Wellington Phoenix. In addition to the double header, the Club will be welcoming Australia’s newest citizens in partnership with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. The ceremony will involve 24 new Australians, who will become citizens at the game, including completing their pledge of allegiance on the pitch in a ceremony prior to the start of the Club’s Hyundai A-League fixture, which is due to kick-off at 7:30pm. Trinity Grammar student and First XI soccer team member Adoni Konstantonopoulos will be performing the Australian National Anthem on the pitch during the ceremony. Trinity Grammar is one of five affiliate members of the Melbourne City College of Football Program, which also includes John Fawkner College, Rowville Sports Academy, Eltham College and Overnewton College. We invite all our fans to support and welcome the new Conferees by joining in the singing of the National Anthem and repeating the Affirmation, to make the ceremony a very special event for the newest members of the Melbourne City FC family. fiji19
The FFV have confirmed that Tom Cahill for Hume City and Jonatan Germano for Avondale FC have both been left off the club’s roster submission. The clubs have committed to the players but due to permanent residency issues, they will be unavailable to register and play until they go through. I wonder if he will be able to play for avondale now
