D Van't Schip was subbed off at half time after running around doing approximately sweet fuck all in the first half.

Bergers look like they might struggle this year, Vlahos is going to have to pull his finger out and get his strikers scoring, 'cause they haven't put a single goal away yet this season.

ROFL @ this Wikipedia Edit on the Preston Lions page.

The Preston are an Australian football (soccer) club from Preston, a northern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The club was formed in 1947 and currently play in the Victorian State League Division Two. We hope to become relegated again to go back to our grassroots of football in the provisional leagues.

[edit] Founders and Beliefs

The club was founded in 1992 after the dismiss of Yugoslavia but was ailiated with the Victorian Soccer Federation (now Football Federation Victoria) in 1959 under it's alias Preston Bulgaria Marshal Josip Broz Tito incorperated was used in respect as He remains a controversial figure in of the Balkans. Based in the backyards of Preston, Victoria ,"Titoism" Soccer Club was originally created as a focal point for the refugees, organised crime gangs, mafia chiefs and prostitues to provide the then youth with the opportunity to learn how to sharpen their skills in crime and shape their heads like a block of wood, hence the nickname given to them by all walks of life " BLOCKERS " that was so popular back in their homeland that was given over a card game and rakia in the backstreets of lalor. Its has been said but not proven that the decesendants of the BLOCKHEADS come from a land so sacred, so ancient, otherwise known as LEGOLAND. This region is is dispute. It is currently under occupation by the evil characters of Toy Story - Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Mr.Potatoe Head run the LEGO LAND with an iron fist. But it is hoped that the red and yellow POWER RANGERS will unite the boxhead community to reclaim ancient and historic LEGOLAND

[edit] The rise of organized crime in the northern suburbs an birth to the soccer laundering club

In 1959 the club established itself from an amateur organized crime club to a semi-professional club, with promotion to the Victorian Division sixty nine. Preston moved forward in leaps and bounds to become champions of the Victorian Lalor and Thomastown districts in 1966 with the increase of drug trade, garage explosions from the distilleries, assaults, and prostitutes as a result, was promoted to the state’s top organized crime club in the Victorian State League in 1967. During this significant period of growth the need for much larger facilities became apparent and the club consequently moved from its home base of T.A. Cochrane Reserve in Collier Street, Preston, to its current luxury bordello headquarters at B.T. Connor Reserve in nearby Reservoir. The Preston Propaganda night Club was also established around the same time and is located directly opposite the headquarters.

[edit] National Soccer League

Preston continued to compete successfully in the NSL for the next 13 years, achieving their best finish in 1987 as runner-up in the Southern Division Championship. In 1992 Preston took out the prestigious Dockerty Cup in a thrilling penalty shootout against arch rivals South Melbourne. However financial difficulties led to poor performances and in 1993 Preston played their last match in the NSL.

[edit] Victorian Premier League

Relegated back to the Victorian Premier League, Preston were once again crowned Victorian champions in 1994. Around this time, Soccer Australia forced VPL clubs to abolish any ethnicity associated with their club names and the Preston Soccer Club was renamed the Preston Legoland Soccer Club, however maintained its heritage. The club has since adopted the title of the Preston Legos Football Club, following the lead set by the sports’ governing body and keeping in line with how the game is known in the UK and countries where people don't speak English–as “football”. Preston would once again become Victorian Premier League champions in both 2002 and 2007, adding to its already impressive collection of spoons, dinner plates and forks

[edit] Players

Over the years, the Preston Lions FC have produced many champion players who have represented their countries at youth and senior level such as Warren Spink, George Campbell for Scotland, Graham Heys for England, Robbie Dunn, Phil Traianedes, George Jolevski, Andrew Zinni, Oscar Crino, Peter Ollerton, Gary Cole, John Markovski, Kris Trajanovski, Goran Lozanovski,John Sapazovski And Nana Mouskouri who captained the Victorian State Team on their tour to China in 2005 and Sasa Ognenovski was crowned Asian player of the year in 2010.

[edit] The Club today and into the future

Today the club has only 24 players with teams in senior men's, senior women's and juniors, with a further 5000 in Fawkner memorial park. 3 people involved in canteen duties training and feeding approximately 10 crime bosses members who are irresponsible for the management and administration of the club at the strategic and operational level hence the shambles this club is in.

As the club will celebrate its 50th Anniversary at Lalor McDonalds, the club is preparing a strategic plan to move the club forward in the future. Recently the Preston Lions Football Club has implemented a system of promoting its own junior and under 21 players into the senior squad. In 2008 seven players from the clubs juniors and under 21's structure were promoted into the senior lineup.

The club's women's team competes on my kitchen rules but aren't doing so well as they consistently burn the Burek

Dunno how he could get a game in the current Heidelberg attack, with the amount of goals they are scoring.

Who do u even support these days?

JUST in SL1?

Or DEAD.FC in NW SL2 (Rofl at being bellow La Trobe Uni on the Ladder)?

I doubt you have been to more Preston games than I (A recently converted Anglo) have been to Bergers ones.

I reckon they will come out and win this week... They have to beat Stars.

The Board finally got pissed off with their supposed "Youth Season" plans and have brought in a fair few new players apparently including some NYL players as well as Kamal (And they have got rid of a few as well).

Dont worry, neither of your two teams will be playing Alexander in a league match anytime soon.

Well Heidelberg officially is fucked: Lost 3 - 1 to Southern Stars and this was with the captain-coach back for the first time all year.

Things really need to turn around real fast as relegation seems more likely than not atm.

The interesting stuff is all happening at makedonia though.. what a shambles that club is in. Coach was sent off on the week for apparently running down to the corner flag to join in/break up a fight. Reports vary on what exactly happened but regardless there is at least a $1500 fine for having your coach sent off, plus whatever else FFV decides to impose.

Nate Foster scored again for Dandenong. 4 goals from 4 games this season. Quick as.

We should trial him. Has x factor. Could be the new Terra. Fan favourite.

He is very, very skilful. So fast. Great passing. Good finishing.

But is he up to A-League level? I hope so!

That's the whole reason he came here from Canada. To try his hand at A-League.

Let's get him before someone else does. (someone else will at least trial him etc)
