Tesla
I mentioned this on old forum, but needs its on thread. Needs socceroos callup ASAP.
thedukeofhearts
I was sitting here scratching my head thinking whats NT ?? Northern Terrace. In my defense it's late !! But it came to me and order was restored Agree. I love the man

Butty
Needs work defensively. Not yet, imo.
marteaux
He's just become a fixture in the youth teams. Give him time. I don't think he's ready for the national team, and Zullo or McKay is definitely my preference at LB.
Tesla
Needs work defensively. Not yet, imo. Needs work defensively? He has improved defensively a lot already, he is good enough now. You going to tell me these makeshift LBs we are using are better defensively?
Baresi
Will be surprised if he doesn't get a call up at least for one of those senior training camps or whatever before the end of the year. Probably still a bit early for him to get a start or a bench spot though.
rizzo
Has improved out of sight, would like to see him work up through some training camps and bench spots before thrown in the deep.
cadete
Aziz’s problem as far as the national team is concerned IMO is that he is more a natural Wing Back than a Full Back. Although he plays well as a Full Back at A League level, when he plays higher levels of football his defensive work could become more exposed. In saying that he has certainly improved in that area of his games and has continued to become a better player throughout the year. He is still young though, and another solid season of defensive work could see him improve on that further.

Tesla
You think Aziz Behich is defensively the best Australian left back available? HERP DERP HERP. No, but all the potential LBs we have are converted LBs as well. None of them are particularly good defensively.
Butty
But they're still better than Aziz.

mulhollanddrive
The NT has been targetted down the left flank for the past 3 years, Carney and Zullo are always out of position or unable to defend 1 on 1. I think we need a better defender at LB, and attack up the right.
rizzo
That goal was assisted by David Carney. He may as well have put it into the net for them just to be sure.

MTP
taking out, rose (CCM) and franjic (Brisbane) We have the 2 best FB's in the league IMO. marrone shouldn't be too far off a call-up to a training camp IMO.

Tesla
learn to shoot pls great payer though I have said this before, if he could shoot or cross he wouldn't be playing for us.
cadete
I have said this before, if he could shoot or cross he wouldn't be playing for us. I remember Nick Hornby writes something like this in Fever Pitch about when he used to watch a local lower divison side when he was at Cambridge, each player only had a few certain skills as if they had required anymore they would be playing for much better sides rather than where they were applying their trades. marteaux
Behich can obviously shoot.. Did you guys miss the Newcastle and Perth goals where he scored and assisted in either game with an absolute scorcher. But his 1 on 1 with Mat Ryan last night was a pretty pathetic attempt, but the guy had just sprinted 80% of the pitch length to get to that position, so credit where credit is due. He's definitely been our most consistent performer this season. Although he's very fit, if he can take it to the next level, and work extra hard on his defending.. We could see him called up in an A-League based Socceroo's squad.
Shahanga
He's not ready for a call up yet- needs to be more consistent. The potential is there though, may be in a season or 2 I'd say.
kontra.11
You need to be able to cross to play left back internationally.. Such a frustrating player. Fights like a warrior and gets in great positions but then the finish is lacking most of the time.. And yes, he is still be vulnerable defensively.. Give him a few years... Definite potential.. kingawesomeness
He's definitely been our most consistent performer this season. Nope. Marrone by a mile. He has been our most consistent player since our inception. Aziz is still a way off a NT call-up. I wouldn't say that he bosses the wing week in, week out just yet. Josh Rose is ahead of him, especially in defensive work.
Buddy Farah
This guy is amazing. If he could just learn to shoot he'd be hot propert overseas. His composure (except for in front of goal) and ball control is epic. Fantastic career move into left back! Fuck off Heffernan. My FIFA stats for him: Workrate - 20 Speed - 18 Agility - 18 Acceleration - 20 Stamina - 20 Ball Control - 20 Passing - 19 Through balls - 16 Crosses - 12 Strength - 15 Tackling - 16 Weak Foot - 15 Vision - 16 Shooting - 3 Edited January 21, 2012 by Buddy Farah

marteaux
Had an absolute blinder against the Roar. Gives us so much going foward, and has definitely improved as a defender.
DutchPride
In our best two all year, doesn't ever lose the ball, always beats the first defender & his dribbling & control are second to none.
Thalfie
creates many of our scoring opportunities, but as previously mentioned, really does lack in finish ability. very strong/consistent player though, rarely loses the ball and has great pace. Butty
I don't think he has realised he can't shoot yet, needs to cut back more upon arrival into the box instead of trying to shoot. Should never shoot. Never.
