mus-28
Strange game this morning, until the final 20 minutes the game had draw or loss written all over it. Our failure to retain possession for long times is killing us, particularly as we struggle to win it back when we lose it. Another result that just papers over the cracks. Really need that ball winning midfielder in January, and a LB to give Gibbs some competition because him & Sagna looked like they couldn't defend a warm cup of piss this morning.
mus-28
Walcott signs a 3 year contract. Will be good to get everyone focussed on matters on the field again rather than a drawn out contract saga. Now to bring in a big mean bastard of a midfielder and all is good. Young Polak
... to be honest, while watching that FA cup match with swansea, it was pretty much like me playing FIFA trying world class difficulty and dominating the whole match but frustratingly almost impossible to score a goal. Didn't even seem like a real match. That is all
mus-28
made a big difference having Diaby and le Coq in the middle winning the ball back, rather than other teams controlling posession while we chased them around. Jack in the number 10 role also worked much better than it has with Santi there.

DutchPride
and you guys still chased us around for a solid 50 minutes, possession was something like 72-28 after 40 minutes.

mus-28
January Transfer window coming to a close, we've been pretty much linked with everyone, before they sign for another club. Only one I can see us signing is Diame. Would be the perfect addition to our squad as we lack a genuine physical ball winner in the middle of the park, except the 2 or 3 games a season Diaby plays. mus-28
Why are our defenders retarded? I'd rather we have the entire Bradford City defence than this bunch of fuckwits masquerading as footballers. Expecting Liverpool to put another couple past us before the end of the match. mus-28
looks like we're signing Nacho Monreal from Malaga, left back with 9 international caps for Spain. Good to have someone to push Gibbs and have a quality replacement on the frequent occasions that Gibbs is injured. Now just need a DM and we might limp into 4th with a bit of luck. Need an end of season clear-out of our defence. Sagna, Mertersacker, Squillaci & Santos all need to be shipped out. And we need Vermaelen & Koscielny to get back to their form of last season with another top quality CB brought in to compete for a first team spot. Defibrillator
I think you're being a bit harsh on Mertesacker. If you look at the goals concede per game, the Koscelny/Mertesacker combination concedes at about a 50% lower ratio compared to the Koscelny/Vermaelen combination. He looks ungainly, but he's actually quite steady on the ball and is much better at reading the game and intercepting than Vermaelen. Just look at Vermaelems attempt at a "clearance" in the first Liverpool goal this week. Amateur hour stuff.
mus-28
Mertersacker has been pretty good this season, but I don't think he'll ever get to the level we need to win the league. The pace is a bit to quick for him and while he's got Sagna trying to be Messi up forward he's left exposed too often down the right flank. If Wenger would see the light and bring Jenks in at RB then Mertersacker would recieve the cover he needs. But that isn't likely to happen unless we sell Sagna or he gets injured again, regardless of how shit he's played this season.
Defibrillator
Just saw the highlights of England - Brazil. Jack is an absolute star and returning to his old self. At only 21, the future looks enormous for him. Just need to hold on to him for 10 years..................…
mus-28
We're a fucking joke. Wenger needs to move upstairs and that useless big headed cunt Gervinho needs to move to Biggleswade Town. We'll probably beat Bayern 1-0 at home with a fluke goal and everyone will be stoked, then we'll get flogged 5-0 in the away leg. Fuck this club has turned into a shambles since we moved to Ashburton Grove.

spain82
no matter who comes in offering whatever, The board will not give in. We've already got Russian and American billionaires on the board. Wenger has had money in the kitty for years and refuses to spend it. Its not about money at Arsenal. If we had a bottomless kitty, we'd still buy the reserve team player over the superstar.
Arsenal_Hearted_Boy
i was just about to post the link, im against it i always believed in this decade we will continue to grow financially on our own and this is proven, just let usmanov and his group of true goonas who take on board the fans opionions run the club instead of that yank kroenke. win or lose tonight wenger is a terrific manager and just needs the confidence of whoever runs the club which he isnt getting at the moment. fair play would make us right up there in a few years but other clubs will always have ways around the rules and regulations, in a perfect world the true powerhouses like arsenal, liverpool etc will rise over city's and psg's. although the club knows nothing is perfect and times have changed where players would rather wear the shirts of fake clubs who pay than clubs who have given something to football so unfortunately this will probably happen and the Arsenal name will be corporatized.. leaving all other clubs with ambitions left with no chance unless they get bought out, welcome to the world of modern football when will they bring out the monopoly version ffs so we can pass these soulless values onto the next generation.. winning wont feel the same, getting up 3am to watch a circus show awaits plus side; at least we can keep Jack lol

mus-28
Why do I keep seeing the name Williams linked with Arsenal? Who Williams? Â On a brighter note Nicklas Bendtner is on his way out and should net the club a few quid and more wages freed up. If his skill was a huge as his ego we would've had a superstar on our hands. Â Hopefully all the Fellaini talk eventuates to something. Jack, Rambo, Miki and Fellaini all fighting for the 2 midfield spots would be a good thing. Arsenal_Hearted_Boy
oh sorry ashley williams, swansea defender, tbh only seen him play against Arsenal a couple of times and a couple other matches, 28 year old captain of wales tho. oh yeh of course Cesc would be amazing as well! i have a feeling he will stay at least this year and try to prove his worth to barca.. maybe now with Neymar there they will start playing him in midfield more, but wish he comes back and plays with Wilshere in the middle would be unstoppable! yess bendtner finnally gone! arshavin too he had a massive salary which was not being used properly and i think denilson and squillaci too, so theres some more free space for salary.. yeh i agree having depth im midfield is essential, maybe play fellaini in cdm which he says is his fave position if we get him.. our corner set up will be scary for keepers and defenders.. BFG, Kosh and Fellaini, pwaohh headers galore!!
mus-28
Completely forgot about Ashley Williams, kept thinking everyone meant Jetro Willems, who we were linked with before we signed Nacho. Not really sold on Williams, he's pretty limited technically but would give us some more physical presence and he did attempt to main RVP.
