Caught the game on Fox - the atmosphere sounded fantastic. Was loud the whole time, crowd looked good despite what the official record suggests. Who cares. Entertaining football, a howler in there to give us the yips (which we got through and managed very well - which I haven't seen much in the Heart/City days as we would always capitulate). And we got the win, and I daresay some supporters who would come back on the back of that.

Perfect time to be watching whilst at work to kill the morning! Although geez.... that felt like a loss.

Seeing Bruno in Perth colours - it's like the painful breakup with the girl you won't get back....

Craig Noone is key here I think. I think it comes down to mentality as well. In the FFA Cup run in particular against NPL teams - he must have come in with the mindset of these guys are minnows, I'll dominate. The goals scored were pretty much all outside the box shots. I can't really remember any outside of the box shooting in the A League games. Think he just needs to start thinking he's a notch above again and take "audacious" shots - ie. in a good position outside the box and top corner. Unless the gaffer has instructed to walk the ball in the net...

On TV City fans were the loudest and most colourful and the most passionate even though there was 25k Victory most likely. I hope that is brought to the home games despite all the issues.

Bold Prediction - with this attacking style - we will win one of the rounds 6-0.

Geee if we can produce that kind of football on that build up to Cabrera's goal - that's a fantastic fantastic combination.

Graham Arnold I recall a few years back came out in the press an said he wouldn't rush his foreign recruits because the grounds are so hard in Australia - the risk of injury or to knees is higher so he'd slowly integrate them.

We're so sh*t. Tactics are non existent. Got done on the counter 3 against 1 or even 3 against 2 twice and copped it. And the players are playing the worst passes for a professional standard. Missed passes, heavy touches. Really?? They say no one is bigger than the club. Well it sure does seem that Warren Joyce has something on CFG because right now he is looking bigger than the club and is unsackable and can do what he wants. Simon Pearce has Pep Guardiola at Man City - what on earth does he see in Warren Joyce unless he costs about the price of a tuna sandwich for his salary or someone at CFG is pinging his wife...

Joyce out. Sick of it. Football isn't great, fine we boot out JVS who played ripping football with Mooy, Novillo and Bruno but then we were spinless in defence. Granted Joyce brought in a bit of spine and shored us up - but we look insipid and toothless in attack, given the calibre of Aus players we have. Not to mention how many statements he has been making with big name players.

Let's hope this continues. Could see him getting recalled and coming back to us?
