  1. Second in the league for clean sheets, and he hasn't even played the entire season. Legend.
  2. Sloppy? When? Apart from the penalty can't recall him being sloppy. I do recall many blocked crosses. there was 1 where he was waiting for the whistle to go, didn't go and was horribly out of position two things out of 90 mins? When ever Burns was his opponent he always beat him, in fact he seemed to take burns out of the game quite a bit by making sure he was first to the ball before burns. He wassnt sloppy at all (besides the pen) In fact, get Franjic and another good keeper to challenge tando and I would gladly take that defence into next season. positioning also horrible for the build up in the pen, foxsports highlights vid 54th min, completely out of place as burns has a shot on target wouldn't say we have a visa player that must be signed, some deserve another season, safuwan's best chance would be if we blow a decent chunk on a quality visa with him being a cheap option like germano has been People on here (collectively, and I'm on that list) have complained about every one of the current defensive line-up - Tando, Retre, Jaliens, Kisnorbo, Chapman, Clisby and now Safuwan - variously too old, too slow, too rash, too sloppy etc. etc. They all have their weaknesses that's for sure, but collectively they're probably the best defence that we've seen in five seasons. Honestly, I think that our defense collectively is one of the best defenses in the league. Sure, individually they may not set the world on fire, but you only need to look at our results over the past month or two to see how well they've performed together.
  3. One of my classes for my Bachelor of Arts is 'Professional and Career Development'. It is boring, but it has seriously got me thinking about what I am actually going to do after my degree. I am seriously considering translating and interpreting. I can understand why they make arts students do that class. The only people who do a Bachelor of Arts are people who have no idea what they want to do. *Apologies to anybody whose done a Bachelor of Arts*
  4. Give us a chance. We haven't had time to grind him down to a shadow of his former self yet. These things take time mate Forever an optimist aren't you?
  5. Wow. That made our defending look good.
  6. I am pretty sure he is eligible for our Under 23's team during our qualification for the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship.
  7. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2935490/How-FIFA-allow-Australia-champions-two-continents.html Wow, what a well written piece of sh- I mean article.
  8. Beast. If he keeps this form up he will have a very promising career. Could also be a future Socceroo. Other AFC countries would hate him because of his physicality haha.
  9. I've always felt that Williams is at his best when he comes off the bench.
  10. Doesn't Sainsbury play for Zwolle? Yes, and he walked straight in to the 11 from the A-league, got a long term injured after like a game or two, and walked straight back in to the 11. Having to constantly defend (since the league is so attacking) is probably what made him improve so quickly. I was actually just researching Zwolle for betting purposes which prompted me to post about Babalj, might interest you to know Zwolle are 'best of the rest' in the Eredivise right now, sit above AZ, and have let in the 4th least goals. So my comment about the defending not being great doesn't necessarily reflect badly on Sainsbury. It also comes down to the mentality and playing style of the teams as much, if not more, then it does to the quality of defenders. Hm, interesting, hopefully Babalj is able to do well, he really hasn't had the best of luck overseas.
  11. Even when we were down we really didn't look like losing, we controlled most of the game save for little patches. It easily could've been 3 or 4-1. The less said about Ramsay the better. Mooy was unbelievable again, Melling is such a beast, he works so hard and is not afraid to throw his weight around. Chapman was our best defender today in my opinion, he is so calm and collected on the ball, if he continues to give these kinds of performances good overseas opportunities will beckon. Garrucio was pretty good whilst he was on, always worked hard to get the ball back. I also thought that Clisby slotted in really well at left back, should start next week in my opinion. Koren was pretty good, the way he linked up with Mooy was great to watch. All in all, good game/10.
