  1. Yeah, it is growing on me, I can only hope that we get something that slick for next season. Unfortunately we'll probably get stuck with Nike's stupid new 'vapor' template.
  2. Swansea City. Not entirely sure how I feel about this. White kits tend to walk along a fine line between 'classy', and 'bland', I am not sure which one this is. I do like the collar though. The second kit reminds me of Sydney's ACL kit haha.
  3. I wouldn't look too much into it. Those have always been Yokohama's colours, and their kits generally look like that every year.
  4. China uses 4+1 if I remember correctly.
  5. Studying abroad until March. Managed to find myself a subscription service where I can stream in high-ish quality.
  6. I am pretty sure that I pissed off my neighbours with how loud I was haha, I banged my wall in frustration when Fornaroli missed. But still, awesome win, awesome feeling. Even if it gave me a heart attack.
  7. This match is going to give me a damn heart attack.
  8. Great first half, but seriously. Sorensen really should have saved that. He just kind of stood there.
  9. Yeah, the public transport here is very good. You are pretty much always a short distance from a train station, even out here. In the city trains come every 2 or 3 minutes, and since all of the lines intersect, even if you miss your train, you can hop onto another line and reach the place you want. Well, it is about the same as Melbourne's inner suburbs really. But even so, the urban sprawl is not consistent. For example, Tachikawa, which is even further out than me, is really built up. I would never drive in Tokyo, even out where I am traffic is a nightmare, the streets are narrow and there are cyclists everywhere. Well. Asian Studies is my major so y'know. But I am a cynic, and honestly I think that Japan is just western enough to be comfortable for westerners, and just different enough to be considered "exotic". Ah! Yes. Of course haha.
  10. You're not wrong. The trains here are super convenient, they come every 5-10 minutes and are almost never late, but, I don't enjoy being crushed against doors.
  11. I am in an area of Tokyo called Kodaira, so out in the suburbs basically. Uh, it depends really, this area is nice, but parts of Japan look kind of run down and scummy the further away from the city you get tbh. The touristy parts like Shinjuku and Akihabara are very sleek and nice looking. There are little things that are more advanced than in Australia, but then there are other things that are shit (The wi-fi here sucks balls for example). Also, if you do come to Tokyo and stick around areas like Shibuya and Harajuku the cashiers and stuff will speak English to you. Even if you know Japanese haha.
  12. Currently in my second year of a Bachelor of Arts at uh *cough* VU *cough*, majoring in Asian Studies and Professional Writing. Right now I am studying in Japan for six months which has been awesome so far. Somehow managed to get myself a Japanese scholarship, I have no idea how that happened. To be honest, I've found that studying abroad is a whole lot easier than studying in Australia, I have a friend studying in Korea at the moment and they agree haha. I am also the only Australian here, and I have found that I have gravitated towards the German students, rather than the native English speakers, make of that what you will. Plenty of really attractive girls too, so that's a positive.
  13. I agree with kingofhearts re: Melling and Mauk. They're really talented young players, but are not mature enough to hold a midfield. Speaking of Melling, I was impressed with his ability to keep a level head after the whole 'offside controversy'. We all know how hotheaded he can get.
  14. I can feel the anger from the crowd, even through this piss poor stream.
  15. Why do our players feel the need to header it to Fornaroli when he is one on one with Topor-Stanley?
  16. Their kit hurts my eyes. Especially when they're in the sun.
  17. Those little turns on the ball that Tuna does are beautiful to watch.
  18. Call me an optimist, but I still think that we'll win tbh.
  19. I'm actually really liking those 'Team Mates' videos.
  20. The prospect of Tuna and Novillo linking up is super exciting.
  21. I am actually excited for this season. I reckon its the best squad we've ever had. It's just a matter of getting everybody fit and y'know, JvS not sucking. The downside is that I will have to find a way to watch the first five months of our season from Tokyo haha.
