  1. Is the FFA paying our wage bill next season? Or every team's?
  2. Nothing about winning titles? The aim of the board is to run a football club, not a football team. Those in charge want a stable club, of course they want success, but at this stage, what good is a title if the club folds in 3 years because it over reached? The titles come when there is stability at the top - and the original objectives have been met.
  3. I always try to take the long term view. I honestly would have preferred JvS stayed, but that is another issue, and with Aloisi in charge, you have to at least give him a second season to see what he does. The problem is that we need results quickly, for off field reasons as much as on, because we don't have an established fan base. If you bring in a new manager, firstly who? And secondly, will we not have to go through yet another season of adjustment?
  4. Try rediscovering the pleasure of training. Detach yourself from the results. Just go in a lift and enjoy. Run Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 - the Boring But Big template works wonders here. Just focus on going to the gym, doing the work and getting out and on with your life. Eat real food, forget supplements (seriously, save your $ and spend on food) and just make things as simple as possible. Get out and move everyday. Lift 3-4 times/week and live life. Don't focus on getting big, or small or lean or whatever - just go in, train with purpose (to get stronger) and forget about the rest.
  5. You still training brah? What are you lifting these days?
  6. Nah that was for some bodybuilder movie with Wahlberg, he is still much bigger than he was though. But, it would be a good few years between pics.
  7. So many computer retailers are clearing out windows 7 laptops on the cheap, and advertising the fuck out of the "if you buy this windows 7 laptop now you can upgrade to windows 8 for $15 (or whatever it is) when windows 8 comes out". So pretty sure it will be quite hard to get a laptop without windows 8 already installed, for personal users that is, once its out. I guess you are right about business bazzatron, whoever is in charge of the IT stuff isnt going to recommend windows 8. Still doesnt really change anything, Microsoft will just sell more windows 7, while still getting windows 8 sales from personal users / idiots / touchscreen devices. At the end of the day w7 is a good OS and doesnt really have any competition as the OS of choice in the business world, no one is going to switch to mac or linux, unless they are an IT related company. I hate these all-in-one PCs they have now, absolutely rubbish IMO, either get a real desktop or get a tablet if you want a touchscreen, but anyway, they are becoming more popular and windows 8 is made for that sort of stuff. I just bought a new laptop - trying to find a windows 7 laptop is next to impossible - if you do find them, they are with 2nd generation intel processors. I ended up getting a touchscreen laptop - because the usability is better with Win 8 - but for my budget ~$1100, it meant sacficing resolution on the screen. The new Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A with touch looks the goods, but was stretching the budget too far. Am yet to take delivery, but will update when I've had a play around with things. Just a question Baz: is it shit from a l33t computer tech user POV, or is it shit because it is different and takes adapting to, or is it shit because the UI is not intuitive, and certain features are lacking?
  8. Been doing a bit of kettle bell work lately, actually. All inspired by a certain bald-headed canadian Adonis Haha nice one - that is my next purchase here in maple land - now that I have a place sorted, time for some lifting again.
  9. You khunts still lifting or what?
  10. South Melbourne before Heart. I wanted to go to live games, but wasn't interested in MVFC. I went to a game at Olympic Park in season one, and I wasn't impressed - their style, didn't win me over - never went to another A-League game.
  11. He does look good in a suit. So does AvB, but also, so did Leonardo at Milan...
  12. I don't even know which is which! But winning the grand final - it is what it is, but that means you are the overall winner of the A-League.
  13. Won't somebody please think of the children?
  14. Most fans of clubs don't go to games. What are the average AFL attendances, club by club? Collingwood is probably the highest, and it boasts around 1,000,000 fans (if I remember correctly). That may or may not be true, but look at those numbers, and compare them to the attendance as a percentage. I think the attendances reflect exactly where the club is at in terms of support. Most people I know that are only casual sports fans - who would probably go to a game or two of AFL each year, still ask who the Heart is when I tell them. We live in a bubble we have created - but it is easy to forget that most people don't care about soccer, at least enough to shell out time and money an effort to go to a game. Yet.
