Without knowing Jack (pun intended) about Jack, he can't be worse than Winbichler in terms of output. For whatever reason Windbichler hasn't been able to get onto the pitch and therefore is a confirmed waste of a visa spot. To bring in a 24 year-old with a few international caps (okay Scotland aren't great at the moment) he can't be that shit. So the way I see it, firstly it's great business by CFG to be able to bring in a fringe player from an elite club, which I doubt any other team in our League could do and secondly it clearly shows that in the long term we are learning from our mistakes (Aaron Hughes). Anyone who opposes this loan signing should really take a second look.

We have to watch this. Our young players play virtually for the whole year - the NPL, the NYL, occasional matches for the seniors, and now the Olyroos. Much bigger workload on younger bodies than the senior players have to carry.

Isn't Delbridge on the brink of suspension for accumulated yellows? I see this signing as more of a peek at Hendry for the remainder of this season at no cost to the club with a view to replacing Griffiths at the end of this season when he will be out of contract. Croissant will surely be on his way season's end to create a visa place..

I suggest that this is quite simple really. The club does not resonate with the people of Melbourne as a Melbourne club. Whether or not CFG set out to destroy what identity we had or not, what they have done is just that, and the new identity doesn't attract the people of Melbourne. And neither do the people who remain see any prospect of CFG changing its decisions about that identity. There are other factors too, but I contend that that remains the single biggest reason. Even the supporters who attend are less passionate about the club than 2-3 seasons ago.

I agree with you that the sense of enjoyment has begun to come back, and I sense this has a lot to do with a new style of play, and that we are moving in the right direction. For me the best match in terms of atmosphere was the red and white anniversary against CCM, but it also looks as if the stands are that little bit fuller since then. Susaeta feels like a clear statement of intent that City are going for it, and capable of signing genuinely good players.

The match day experience over the last 2 seasons is due to the failings and destruction of Joyce and Munn. Last week was the first match where I consistantly heard some real optimism from the supporters around me for a very long time. Maybe, just maybe we are on the up and supporters are starting to sense it which is changing the feel of the matchday experience. Also, the sense of anticipation of Susaeta coming on was electric, which is exactly what a world class player does. If this continues there is no doubt that the whole stadium will follow the lead of the actives as was the case in the Mooy Novillo Bruno era.

Take off your partisan blinkers. Have you seen the passes he makes? That cross to Berisha for their first goal on Sunday was an absolute peach. You may not like him, but he is a hugely talented playmaker.

Start Griff for Florin and let him and Brillante take turns in kicking lumps out of Castro then bring Florin on late once they're both on yellows so he can have a turn kicking Castro. Get Luna and JMac take turns to kick Kilkenny. Once they're all on yellows Wales and Noone need to do some chopping. Then all 4 defenders can share fouls on Bruno. Once we've kicked them off the park Susaeta comes on to snare us a 1-0 win with our tally of 2 shots on goals and 9 yellow cards.
