  1. HeartFc management plan. 1. Forfeit next game, do the kokoda trail. 2. All players delete instagram. 3. Full sparring at the gym once a month. 4. Full ban on fades, if you cut your hair more than once a month you get a week off. (Skin heads are fine) 4(a). If you shave a line in your head or eyebrows automatic ban, GTFO. 5. If you don't bleed or draw blood from your opponent at least once a month, GTFO. 6. If you fuck a pass up or cop a goal don't look down. Automatically sent to Africa if you do. 7. Fuck those trendy 3/4 jackets, ripped jeans or womens baggy t-shirts. No designer clothes, no hipster shit, no fashionistas! 8. On that note. Manager must wear full track suit with boots on, throwing the odd water bottle would be nice. 9. You have a shit game, you get dropped. Don't care who you are, you earn your spot. 10. Someone must start a punch on in the tunnel every season. Don't care why. 11. Posters of Roy Keane, Oliver Kahn, Vinnie Jones, Jaap Stam and Gattuso in the rooms. 12. Don't shake opponents hands in you don't want to, don't do interviews if you don't want to. Tell them to fuck off and cop a fine if you have to. I'm no tough guy but I know when I see piss weakness. We are the definition of piss weak!

  2. Serious the original poster needs to take a deep breath, wobble his head a little bit and then have a nice lie down for a few hours in a comfortable chair. We have a top 4 squad. Yes, that's right a top 4 if not 2 depending on injury quality squad. From my calculations last night was our first loss this season in a "proper" match. Proper depending on your opinion, but in a game that had results and consequences. Yes we lost badly and that could take a while to recover, but to suggest we are bottom is just overreaction hyperbole. I posted a while back we should have 11 plus points by the end of rd 5 and by then we should have a good idea of the rest of the League and I can't see us not doing this. The final was always going to be difficult away, I didn't expect to be that shit but seriously some need to chill.

  3. My clear understanding is that overseas (i.e. non-Australian) recruitment for Melbourne City is headed up by a team led by James Poole (former player) who is employed by CFG in Manchester. Another major issue is that CFG is a business run by a number of people who are obscenely rich and just want to get richer. Other than Manchester City, the teams they run are for the betterment of their business, not necessarily the success of those teams on the football field. Even Manchester City is run for the betterment of their business, but as the the flagship it must be seen to be successful on the field as well as off it. The CFG model is killing football.

  4. But Brillante isn’t here for the creativity, surely we know what to expect from a defensive midfielder? There are 5 people in front of him who are assumed to be creative.

  5. The level of forum melt-down we've achieved after coping 4 goals is glorious to watch.

  6. Every formation and tactic has strengths and vulnerabilities. What I saw though was a team that fell apart after conceding the first goal and that wasn't competitive in any position for the remainder of the match. That's a seperate problem from tactics and formation. We lost our shape, we were second to most balls, lost almost every 1 on 1 contest for the remainder of the game

  7. Suddenly we miss the best player - Florin. Do you guys know what you really want.

  8. What a bloody useless bunch of muppets they have thrown together this season. Severely concerned with the lack of creativity - we do not even look like scoring outside of Mclaren and you cant survive in this league on defense. The quality just isnt there (obviously), plus half of our defenders are no good. We got our guys in early, were ahead of the curve in the league and caught teams under prepared so far. We still dont look good, even though we have won a game and made the final of a mickey mouse competition. Outside of all of the imports being invisible, I said last season Najjar is no good and he seems to be our forward backup. Najjarine aint much better...how we could not play then lose birigits for this BUM of a No1 I will never know. We deserve to fold on this alone. People are waiting for the mother of all bananaramas in Florin to come back - LOL. I have fears we could be looking at bottom 4, and heaven forbid something happens to Maclaren bottom two or even the spoon. This squad is not built for this league. No pace, no strength, no hunger/desire to work past obvious skill deficiencies due to the standard. There is obviously a massive issue that runs deep. Either CFG have too much say and have no idea about the local league...or the locals on the ground here they are relying on are absolutely useless and stealing a salary. We need the BEST POSSIBLE A-league proven coach to come in towards the back end of the season, see what we have then have the authority to go to town to build his own list. Keeping Joyce for the year, and now replacing him with another bloke who knows nothing about this league surrounding by mupppets who know not much more has just wasted another off season, a bunch of coin and another season. What is worse we may have committed too long to these imports - none of which I rate. Come at me, and please tell me I have this wrong. This is the worst I have felt for this club since inception, and that is saying something.

  10. Credit to him then and hopefully Bouzanis has read this and treats it like a kick up his arse.

  13. Good to see we're not overreacting after one game. Have a beer, rub one out and relax. We're all thoroughly disapointed but it's not the end of the world Christ.

  18. Not sure I think that we got destroyed because of a CFG inverted fullback tactic. We basically lost in my opinion was down to basic poor individuals errors, and all of them defensive individual errors. The first was Bouzanis, as a keeper you can't speculate, you must cover 1st any chance of a shot and then maybe look at making an interception (this occasion a cross), to be beaten from that angle and distance is all down to keeper error. Second Delbribge got tangled up and was skinned way too easily, not sure Bouzanis could have made it but for me the fault lies solely with Delbribge. Neither 2 goals are in way attributed to tactics or formation, they could have occurred with 4,3 or even 5 at the back. At 2:0 we were pretty much looking down barrel, we had a glimmer when Noone missed a very get able chance just past the penalty spot, and not even on target. He scores we got a chance, but then we copped the 3rd which of all the goals was down to a collective poor shape and probably the closed thing to your premise but we were chasing a goal and were looking terrible (shape wise). I don't think this loss was down to tactics for me it was all down to mental weakness and under pressure we again failed to execute and made crucial fundamental errors. I agree with you, there is alot to think about and more to actually come up with solutions to last nights catastrophic performance.

  19. But in essence that's the point of this forum. 96% of all posts are either positive or negative and they all depend on the last 94 minutes played. Players/managers back room staff are either amazing or complete shit. Generally an opinion is made and then backed up with endless posts trying to vindicate said opinion. The irony is nobody is ever wrong. Especially me.

  20. Every time I come on this forum I get more and more concerned the mean age of a forum writer is 13. The body of evidence of us playing very well far outweighs the single poor game we've had. Fucking relax fellas. Let's go smash "Station Coming Soon FC"

  22. IMO that's where this club has gone wrong repeatedly. Melling, Clisby, Retre. Not world beaters, but guys who you keep long term to help build a culture at a club. Right now Jamo's 53 games at the club is the current highest. How do you develop a club culture when you turnover a majority of the squad every season? Sydney meanwhile have Grant (169), Ninkovic (108), O'Neil (106), Wilkinson (86), Zullo (73), Redmanyne (59)

  28. While I agree with you, you have to keep in mind that if the opposition is playing a wide defensive counter and you position your FBs in the middle of the pitch you are asking for trouble. But I suppose we were forcing by that stage and the team was a shambles as you have already stated.

  29. It’s an interesting one. Were Luna and Cabrera picked by Petrillo? It’s far from ideal if that was the case. Ideally a manager will have some say in the player or at least the type of player that will work in the system. Square pegs, round holes and all of that. Petrillo might not pick them all but I’m not convinced he’s the best person for the job. Still early days for the foreign players. Definitely need to improve because we can’t go through the season with only two or three foreigners on the pitch as much as I like the talents of Najjarine and Metcalfe.

  30. The second goal was just a great play. Let's accept this. Otherwise no one would ever score.

  31. New York City has just won Eastern Conference and they are 2nd overall by the points. Destined to reach the grand finale. All that with modest (no)names. Their AM is shorter than Luna.

  32. Totally agree. My point about the inverted fullbacks is that the structure is inherently weak against fast wide breaks and that 2nd goal was a great example of how our defender got beaten and the wide player was free to break. Anyway let's see what Mombaets does as I can see this weakness being exploited effectively during the season.

  33. Probably in between, and like you say a risk. I think we are basically set with Bouzanis for the season, so unless he is injured or suspended I can't see him being replaced. Last season we had 3 decent keepers and now we don't have 1. Very concerning.

  35. The problem was the CFG inverted fullback tactics. When the opposition have fast wingers our fullbacks have to stay wide. All Adelaide did was block our midfield and break on the wings where our fullbacks were too narrow to cover, then the opposition cut inside and we were out numbered. Even when we attacked our wings have no support because our fullbacks were too central. Looking forward, Mombaets needs to remedy our midfield problems asap. Also our style of play is way too taxing on our players for this level and we saw that our players were spent by the 60th minute. FFA cup or not, there are a lot of things to think about TBH.

  36. Every world class keeper in history was an ugly, grumpy, smelly, scary or just some medieval diseased looking scum bag. Oliver Kahn looked like the viking village drunk, Mauel Neuer looks like a school shooter, Lev Yashin looked like a hitman, Fabian Bartez looked like homosexual hitman, Gordon Banks and David Seaman looked like paedofiles, Sepp Maier looked like a cannibal, Jens Lehmann's look like his mum cut his hair, etc etc. Dean Bouzanis looks like one of those fags on a poster in barber shops.

  37. UOTYH... I don't think we should continue to pour money into "drought relief." It's just a bottomless pit, and going to get deeper (if that's possible). We need to change what we're doing with and on the land. Put the money into that rather than into outdated farming practices and crops that are better grown elsewhere. Much the same as roads. No point in pouring money into roads that just get people to a new bottleneck quicker than they did before. Put the money into real public transport - delivering people where they actually want to go. Squillions are wasted on the same old tired non-solutions.

  38. TTIM...I don't know why we're still fucking about and sitting on our hands with the "recycling problem." Years ago when I was auditing industrial facilities in Germany they had multiple recycle streams - up to 16 different streams in one industrial plant that I visited. But recycling is only part of the problem. For example, we need to stop manufacturing and importing anything using packaging that is not recyclable, and years ago industry spent thousands of hours developing a "packaging covenant." Weak though it was, it a start. The covenant has disappeared without trace. Retailers should also be obliged to take back the packaging from items that they sell, and in many cases the actual items. The waste I see on nature strips in Melbourne horrifies me. It should not be the problem of the local council. There's scores of things we should just do rather than just talk.
